"Fuck." (Y/n) sighed as he and Vi walked back to Jayce after the two went to make sure there weren't any other of these Shimmer runners around. The man with the hammer squatted above the dead boy, realizing the mistakes he's made to deserve this boy's blood on his hands.

"You didn't have a choice." Said Vi as the two siblings stopped a fair distance from Jayce. The only thing that was illuminating that room was the massive container of shimmer and the blue glow from their weapons. "He knew what he was signing up for." She continued. "This sucks, I get it. I made it my job to prevent these sorts of things from happening, but you can't save everyone, Jayce." (Y/n) added.

Jayce immediately stood and faced the two siblings. "We're done here." He said. "What?" (Y/n) was shocked at the sudden change. "We haven't even scratched the surface. Silco's still out there." Vi said with concern hinted in her voice. Jayce sighs in frustration. "Do you not understand? I am part of this now! The next parents who get a message their kid isn't coming home... I don't even know where to take it. Do we just leave him here?" Jayce said.

"You've always been a part of this. You just never had to look it in the eye. One dead kid? There are hundreds more where he came from, thanks to Silco and thanks to people like you who stuck their heads in the dirt." Vi defended. "This is over." Jayce argued. "Not for us." (Y/n) added that before he noticed his sister clenching her firsts in the gauntlets, Jayce noticed too. "Take those off." He demanded. He reached for his hammer, which led (Y/n) to grab his sword off his back.

Vi had the gauntlets lock together before it shot out steam, grabbing the attention of any Enforcers in the room. (Y/n) tightened his grip on the hilt, and the bottom of the hilt, along with the edges of the guard, blew out a puff of steam, not as much as Vi had done, but a noticeable amount. "Make me." Vi said.

This caused Jayce to pull the lever on his hammer, which cracked with electricity at the head of the massive weapon. "I can't let you leave with them... or that sword," Jayce added. Vi took this as an opportunity to prepare her fists, and (Y/n) got in a stance, ready to dash towards the man.

"Then, I guess you're gonna need to kill a couple more trenchers." (Y/n) said as he slid a foot forward, readying himself. The tension within the room got so thick you could cut it with a knife. The enforcers in the room had no idea what was going on, so all they could do was watch. Jayce then sighs before turning off the hammer and walking away. Both (Y/n) and Vi stood there and watched him get further away until he stopped in his tracks. "You won't make it with just the two of you." He said before continuing on and leaving the siblings to the vat of Shimmer.

(Y/n) walked over to the boy; he placed his sword on his back before squatting to look at the child one last time. (Y/n) faced Vi and knew they needed to go, but not until they got rid of the shimmer. (Y/n) started walking away but heard Vi punched the container's glass, and shimmer drained out of the vat.

(Y/n) heard the liquid pour on the ground before his sister caught up to his side. "We don't need him. Let's get out of here before shit gets even crazier, and I know a good spot to get a drink." Vi looked at his brother with confusion plastered on her face, and all he wore on his face was a grin that said he wasn't tired yet.

"Alright. You ready to go home?" (Y/n) asked Vi with the blue mechanical sword gripped firmly in his hand. Vi grunts before she runs off to bash into one of the many Shimmer runners taking point. (Y/n) was annoyed that she went off without him, but it didn't matter. While many of the runners were occupied with Vi, (Y/n) quickly ran up behind one of the runners and swung the sword up, slicing its right arm off, but it didn't have time to scream or even react before (Y/n) took the momentum and sliced its head off with the helmet. This was a very quick fight for the two, (Y/n) was slicing, and Vi was punching. They managed.
