-Gwen Stacy-
Schools my strong suit. I can study for hours and get a perfect on an exam. I work hard for what I want, and I know that. Competition has always made me better. It's motivated me to work harder and become the best person I can be. I have an amazing internship at Oscorp industries. It was an amazing job opportunity that made me very happy. It would look amazing on my college applications and it might help me land a full time well paying job after college. School and this internship was doing me good.
The only person I couldn't beat was Peter Parker. He was number one in our class and he was stupendous. Incredibly smart guy. I had even heard that he had an internship at Stark Industries which was far beyond my own. This agitated me a bit because I wanted to be the best of the best. Not in a cool cocky way, but in an intelligently achieving way. I want to succeed and break the records that have never been broke before. But right now, Peter is number one. He's ahead of me.
I'm not going to lie when I say I've been watching him more closely lately. I studied him, wondering what he had that I didn't.
Like right now, as we sat in AP sophomore Chemistry. Peter sat right in front of me. Me and my on partner had the last row in the classroom therefore no one could spot me 'spying' on Peter. I wasn't being creepy. I was simply intrigued by his intelligence and I wanted to know the secret to his great success. I mean come on. Stark Industries. The company belongs to the genius billionaire Tony himself. Otherwise known as iron man. But everyone knows that.
Maybe I could befriend this guy. I mean he does seem really sweet, and my mom has been bugging me about making new friends for a while now. Maybe it's time I took her advice and got more out there.
The bell rang, stating the late bell.
Okay maybe I'll do it before class ends. Right now the teacher is assigning the class a lab. I adore chem, and I was eager to begin, but as I put my goggles on, I kept my gaze on a certain brunette. Well the back of his head anyways.
My partner, Ryle and I were almost finished 15 minutes into the lab and I was certain that I could attempt to talk to Peter afterwards. I drop my pen just as I rush to finish the lab report only for it to go flying across the table and landing on the floor beside Peter's stool. Great.
Well you did want to talk to him right Gwen?
I watch as the boy realizes my pen fell and he bends over slightly to pick it up. Turning to face me, Peter Parker smiles at me as he holds out my pen.
"Is this yours?" He asks quietly. His voice sounding so sincere and kind. His brown eyes look at me through the goggle's clear lenses.
