(Y/n)'s POV

I started walking towards the Hideous Zippleback, slowly and very carefully. "Another viking, are you kidding me?!" One head complained "They might be different?" The other reasoned. "I'm in-fact not here to cause you both any harm, just asking a favor from you." I said, hoping that the dragon would help. "You understand us, that's new. Though what's in it for us?" "Sanctuary away from the vikings that hurt you, food, and plenty of space to play and fly around." The Zippleback look at me as if it were trying to figure me out. "We're in, why are two blonde vikings approaching us?" "These are the twins, the vikings you'll be taking as a passengers."

"Alright. What are your names?"  I asked the Hideous Zippleback curiously before letting the twins pick one. "We don't have one." "It would be nice to have a name though." "Alright then, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, pick a temporary name for this dragon." "Barf and Belch" The twins stated. "Alright does that name sound alright?" "It's alright" "Good, now that the name of the dragon is settled. We need to leave." "We just got here (y/n)." My brother complained. "I'm aware of that Hiccup, but I want to get closer or to our destination before nightfall." I said simply, once again leaving no room for an argument. I instructed both Ruffnut and Tuffnut on how to properly hold on to the Zippleback without it needing a saddle or hurting the dragon. "Alright. Everyone ready?" They all nodded in response to my question. "Then let's get going, we don't have any time to lose."

"We may have to continue flying, even during nightfall." A chorus of complaints followed shortly after this statement. I just glided closer to my dragon. "Strike that tree down, when we get close enough." "Will we be camping there for the night?" "No we're only gathering food from there, maybe find a dragon for Fishlegs." I stated firmly. "We're making one more stop, before we continue the flight to our destination." I dove down the others following soon after me.

"I assume you all know how to gather berries. Also stay away from the blue oleander, it's poisonous to dragons." I said, as I showed them what berries to gather, and what berries to avoid. "Only eat a couple each, we won't be making hardly any more stops after this one." "Why do you have a sheath of arrows and and a bow?" Ruffnut asked looking at me curiously. "I stole it while I was at berk, I wasn't leaving without a weapon. Figured this would do." "You have an awesome sister Hiccup." I overheard Ruffnut say to my brother, I took pride in that.

"Sorry we couldn't find a dragon for you on that island Fishlegs." I apologized as soon as we left the island we landed on for a quick stop "It's okay. We may find one soon enough." "How much farther until we get there, Rider of Death?" Tuffnut asked, slight annoyance and tiredness laced his words. "We're almost there. Also don't call me that, the name is (Y/n)." "We know, Rider of Death is a cool nickname though." "Fair enough. We're almost there."

"Why in the name of Odins beard is it so cold?!" Ruffnut complained bitterly, not used to the drastic change of weather. "We're almost there! C'mon guys, race you all there!" I shouted the last bit before flying way ahead of the group.

"Finally home! Scull we're finally home!" I was truly happy to finally be home after weeks of being away, hell maybe even months away from home, now I'm finally back. "What do we do now (Y/n)?" My brother and the others asked. "We've got to see the king of dragons before we do anything else. Follow me." I lead them through the place where I grew up, pointing out everything, that seemed important for them to know. "(Y/n)! Glad to see you home, and Hiccup... I haven't seen you since you were a wee babe..." "Who are you...?" Hiccup asked, oblivious to what was right in-front of him. "Brother. Hiccup, this is our mother, Valka, of berk." I told my oblivious brother. "Ex wife of Chief Stoick, The Vast." Our mother said simply. "Mom, you're actually alive? Never-mind the fact that you and dad are no longer together, you're alive..." I watched as my brother teared up while hugging  our mother. "You all go get settled in, I'll tell the king of dragons about your arrival." "Mom, I'll need to go run errands tomorrow. Is that alright?" I asked her, hoping for a yes. "Alright (Y/n), just be back in time to help with a few chores." "Yes mother, c'mon everyone, I'll show you to your rooms." I told them as I lead them to the spare, empty rooms where they can stay in.

"This was so tiring. The fact that we were captured by my so called 'father', The long tiresome flight here." I ranted to the bewilderbeast, the dragon that in a way has became sort of like a father figure . "It must have been a long few weeks for you, my child. We're glad to have you back home though." I watched as the bewilderbeast nudged me with one of his tusks. "I probably won't be able to stay for long father..." "That (Y/n), will be an issue for another day, get some rest for now." The bewilderbeast told me as he handed me to my mother. Careful to not wake me up, considering that I was almost asleep as is.

<A/n - This is really fun to write! I enjoy writing such stories like this for myself as well as you all my lovely little tricksters! I'll be writing another "X Reader" soon, though it'll only be a side project, at least until this story is complete. Bye for now my lovely little tricksters!>
