Hiccup's POV

I sighed, looking at my sibling. "We've got the sanctuary, but what if that's not enough..." "Hiccup. Don't say it, please? You know that it's not safe for our dragon's there on Berk." I held my hand out to them, they don't trust Berk but they probably trust me. Probably. "You know what I did last time I was there, they'll want my head on a stake!" I glanced at Briar, he shook his head and walked over to his dragon. "(Y/n). They've changed, just trust me. Please (Y/n)? Will you trust me?" They looked at Briar then at me hesitantly. "You've got someone on your side there and you've got us." They looked at their triple stryke, then at the baby stormcutter that was fast asleep in their arms. "Fine. If I do this, I want to do it on my terms. I go there on my dragon, with my flight suit." I nodded, and watched them solemnly as they walked off in the direction of their hut. With Scull following them. Leaving the rest of us alone.

(Y/n)'s POV

"You sure this is a good idea (Y/n)? I mean you know what they're capable of doing." I sighed at Scull's remark, as I opened the door to my hut and shut it behind us. "(D/n)! We're back!" I smiled as the teenage speedstinger approached us happily. "We'll be headed to Berk soon, you'll either be hiding below deck with the other dragons or riding with me, Leif and Scull. That is if the others choose to ride their dragons as well." "Isn't that the place where Scull got her scars? Maybe I can protect you guys from danger!" I watched as (D/n) ran in circles in the hut, I laughed before setting Leif down in a makeshift crib that Fishlegs helped me make. "Alright kiddo! Calm down before you accidentally wake up your brother!" I laughed as I caught the teenage speedstinger in a hug. "I figured something out today, I wanted to show you!" I let go of (D/n) as he ran to his water dish and walked across the water. "Woah... that's awesome kiddo!" I gotten a closer look at his talons on his feet to see that they were in-fact webbed. "We'll be leaving tonight. We probably won't be coming back for a while either. It all depends on how things go." I grabbed two baskets with straps that attached one to the other and started packing. "Where will all the dragons that live on this island go? What if Rōnin brings the hunters here?" "They'll remain here. Either that or head to the sanctuary. The night terrors normally stay hidden, in their cave on this island. A place where Rōnin hasn't been, and will never be."

I finally finished packing all of my belongings that I needed for this trip. I sheathed quite a few daggers at my hip and had Leif's carrier in front of me. Scull and (D/n) were already outside of my hut waiting for me and the others. I gently placed Leif in the carrier, and carried the two baskets out of my hut. "I'll be using my flight suit, so you won't have to carry the baskets and me. Make sure that this isn't too heavy for you, alright Scull." "It's fine (Y/n) it's not that bad." I sighed and stood next to Scull, double checking that I had everything while waiting on the others.

"Hey Tuff...? You think you'll be okay heading back to Berk and seeing your family again?" "Sure, it's Ruffnut you should be worried about." I chuckled as the twins started to bicker, as per usual. We started the trek, or flight in our dragons case to Berk in hopes that we'll be able to get a steady alliance there. If the sanctuary isn't enough to beat Rōnin. "Soo? You and my brother...?" Briar gave a frustrated groan of annoyance. "Oh just shove off (L/n)! We've got the whole dealing with Rōnin thing to deal with, I've got no time or patience to even think about my love life at the moment right now!" I laughed even harder than before, they probably were going to end up being together. I just needed to play my cards right, and give them a slight nudge. I flew away from Briar, in order to give him some space.

We finally landed in the cove where Hiccup met and trained Toothless. "So I stay here with the dragons, and you all bring back the Chief or whomever Hiccup said was on my side here. Then we'll go over everything." I watched as the others disappeared in the dense, lush forest. Leaving me and Briar alone with the dragons. "If they're so accepting why don't we bring the dragons? Why didn't we all go with them?" I looked at Briar and gave him a nervous half-smile. "I may have done something that's worthy of getting my head cut off and put on a spike in front of the great hall." I ran my hand through my (h/c), (h/l) hair before sitting down next to Scull. "Of course you did, alright then. Guess we're stuck waiting for the others return then." He sat down right beside me. It was hours before they returned, and I heard a voice that I really didn't want to hear since we left the first time. "Hello again Rider of Death, hows life been for you?" Astrid. Oh gods, not her Hiccup. Anyone but her.
