(Y/n)'s POV

"DRAGON RIDER!" I heard one of the villagers yell, getting the attention of others. I saw her, Astrid, we glared at one another before I urged my dragon to fly upwards. "Try not to burn too much of the village. We still have to play nice until the others leave." I stood on my dragon's back as she dove back down to the village. I shot another arrow narrowly missing my target, let them take it as a warning. "Grab Astrid, let's take her for a flight!" "Finally time for some real fun!" She roared as she dove down towards Astrid, and scooped her up in her talons before flying upwards, narrowly missing a net trap. "Put me DOWN!" "Are you sure? We're a good bit up in the air?" My dragon pretended to drop her, before grabbing her again. "Set her down in that cave right there Scull, I need to talk to her." My dragon dove down setting her on the caves ledge, before circling the entrance where she was standing, I dropped down beside her, my bow and arrow in hand. "Rider of Death, what are you doing back here? I thought you left for good, taking the future Chief of Berk with you." Yep, she's still mad at me for that. "You're dragon, left one nasty scar on my arm." "To be fair, she doesn't like strangers grabbing hold of her tail." I was smug, but careful with my wording. "I suppose you'll be Chieftess of Berk if my brother doesn't return?" I asked out of sheer curiosity. "Yes, I would be, but I want Hiccup to have his birthright. He's supposed to be Chief, not me." She looked at me as if this was all my fault, in a way I guess it was. "He's not coming back. He wants to explore the world, something he cannot do here! Have any of you thought of what he wanted?!" I yelled at her, my blood was beginning to boil over with rage. "Be grateful I'm not bitter enough to leave you here." I called for my dragon, she landed close enough for me to be able to climb on. "Why don't you ride with me, instead of riding in a dragon's talons?"

I held out a hand to help her on, to my utter shock, she took it. I pulled her on she now sat behind me on the back of my dragon. "Let's show her some fun Scull." "Alright, I don't like her on my back but let's get this over with." I watched as my dragon took off into the sky, weaving through the sea-stacks that surrounded Berk. "Are you trying to kill me?!" "If I wanted you dead, you already would be!" I slowly stood up on my dragon's back. "What are you doing?!" "This is what it means to be a dragon rider! To have fun, to explore the unknown, to help others in need dragons and vikings alike!" I looked to see Astrid looking at me, she's curious about how it was like to grow up with dragons, I knew it. "Ready to fly solo for a bit?" I asked her joyously. "No, you're dragon will kill me, are you crazy?!" I laughed as I leaned to my right a little bit, preparing my flight-suit. "Might wanna hold on, we do this routine with anyone new that rides with us!" I informed her, as I dove off of Scull, opening the wings of my flight-suit. I disappeared underneath my dragon, out of Astrid's line of sight. "Hello!" Astrid jumped ever so slightly, then gave me an annoyed look. "Very funny Haddock." "Yes, yes I know I'm extremely hilarious!" I replied as I glided next to them for a bit, weaving around more sea-stacks. I glided until they were both below me, and I was above them. Scull flew upwards so I could carefully land on there back where I was before. "Sadly we'll have to carry you back in the talons. I hope you had fun though!" I looked at her as I guided my dragon upwards. "I did in-fact have fun, thanks for that Rider of Death." We looped up as Astrid fell off of Scull's back, before she fell completely. Scull caught her in her talons, and we all flew back to Berk. Scull dove down in the village before releasing her I told her not to tell anyone about what happened, after all I have a reputation to keep. She nodded as Scull released her grip on Astrid, we set one more building on fire, before we left to go find the others.

"Did you guys grab everything that was needed? We definitely aren't coming back after today." I told the other riders, as we took a break on the sea-stack furthest from Berk. They all nodded confidently, answering my question. "Where are the twins?" I heard angry villagers surrounding the boat docks, and a boat sailing towards us with the twins steering it, their dragon flying beside them. "Perfect. Just great, we won't have to fly, meaning we won't overwork the dragons!" I was ever so grateful for there chaotic nature. "Let's get going after all it might take awhile anyway."

"How much longer, until we get there?" Fishlegs asked me. "Not that much longer, at least I think anyway." I replied to him as I headed to where the twins were. "No settings things on fire once we get there. No chaos either." I told them as I stood in-front of them. They complained, trying to change my mind. I left them to whatever they were doing beforehand. "I saw what you did to Berk. How could you, that's our home (Y/n)!" "I was distracting them, so I'd buy you all time!" "Burning down part of the village that we weren't in isn't a distraction!" Everyone overheard my brother say that, they all looked at me with slight disgust. "Fuck You Hiccup! C'mon Scull we'll fly ahead for a bit!" My dragon landed on the boat causing the boat to shake slightly. "Is something wrong (N/n)?" "Nothing. We're scouting ahead, that's all." I took off with Scull flying ahead of the others, knowing that they're perfectly capable of following behind me.

"Maybe we should slow down? They've never been outside of the archipelago borders before!" Scull warned me gently, knowing something was upsetting me. "I'll fly ahead then, I assume you'll be able to track me." I asked as she flipped over causing us to fly upside down, I prepped my flight-suit. "Im a strike class, not a tracker class, yet again it could be possible, so sure why not?" I fell off of my dragon's back, opening my flight-suit, before flying ahead of everyone. Sure enough I flew a bit further ahead than I needed to be, but I don't want to put up with Hiccup and the others, not quite yet anyway. I happened to found a decent island, to set up camp at least for the time being. I flew back to the others and landed on the boat, taking the steering wheel away from Hiccup and steered to where the island that I found was.

"This is only temporary, maybe for a few hours, maybe for a night or two." I told them as I tried pushing the boat further onto the land, so it wouldn't float off. "Scull, a little help?" She landed next to me in the water, helping me push the boat further on land. "Thanks Scull." "No problem (N/n), now can you tell me what's wrong, or still not ready to tell me." Scull asked as we both walked on land. "Not yet, it's nothing really, I'm fine." I walked away, hoping to find something interesting to keep my mind occupied for the time being. I saw a boat heading towards the island we're on, I looked at the boats sail I knew that symbol.

"DRAGON HUNTERS! DRAGON HUNTERS!" I tried getting the attention of everyone else. The dragons all looked at me, then at each other and lastly at Scull. My brother didn't bother to pay any attention to me, he's still mad. "Scull, Barf and Belch, you both are with me! Ruffnut and Tuffnut, get on your dragon, let's deal with these hunters! The rest of you, stay here and guard the island." I got onto Scull's back as me and the twins both took off, to deal with the hunters. "Barf, Belch scare off the hunters on that ship! Leave the ship intact! There could be dragons trapped below deck!" I told them both "Same with you Scull." "We'll deal with the hunters separately! Get them off the ships!" The twins nodded before flying over to the other ship. I landed on the one closest to the island, to deal with the hunters on that ship. "(N/n)! Long time no see!" That voice was all too familiar for comfort. "Hey (E/n), how's it been since I took your eye?" I was taunting them, it's fun to do. "It's been good, ya know building an armada capturing dragons, killing them and selling there scales for armor! I never got that pretty Tryple Stryke of yours though? Care to hand it over?" He asked me as hunters aimed crossbows at the both of us, not good. "Scull, chase the hunters off afterward do with them as you wish." They watched as my dragon left me behind. "That dragon isn't very loyal is it?" "No, Scull is perfectly loyal, though we needed a new plan to deal with you pesky hunters. Scull now!" I watched as my dragon grabbed one of the hunters from the boat and drop them into the ocean, repeating the process, until the only one that was left was
(E/n). "Give up (E/n), there are no more hunters left on this boat, they'll be swimming home. Just give up." I tried to convince him to jump off. "Nothing on the other boat (Y/n)! They can use that one to get home!" "Alright thank you Ruffnut and Tuffnut!" I called out to them in reply. I turned back around to see
(E/n) nowhere in sight, only to see the other boat sail away with him and the other hunters on it. "Go give them a warning. Why they shouldn't mess with the Rider of Death." I told Scull as she flew towards the boat, grabbing one of the hunters with her talons and flew high above the island we were on and dropped them letting them fall a few feet, before catching them again and flying them back to the boat. "Good job Scull, now lets see what they were hiding below deck."
