Someone We Used to Be

How it begins

Sometimes endings are tough, you never really know until you read it. I'm sure you had your fair share, the bittersweet ones.

"Unnie!" She looks up seeing her friends and smiled softly, "are you coming to the party later?" Lisa, her friend, asked.

"Hopefully" She replied.

Or the selfish ones, Sweet, sad, or even the normal. I'm guessing you're expecting this ending already?

I guess I'm predictable, aren't I?

"Yeah, then she said-" Jisoo smiled as Jennie, her friend, explained everything that happened at class. Jennie was a smart and kind girl, everyone loves her. She was always protective of her friends and Jisoo thanked her for that.

"Are you going to the party?"

"Maybe" Jisoo shrugged, "are you?"

"Yeah, or else Rosie won't stop bugging me" Jennie smiled, "you know her and Lisa."

"Yeah"

"Is everything ok?"

"Yeah"

"Are your sisters home?"

"Yeah" They walked to Jisoo's house, Jennie always drops her off.

"I'll see you later!"

"Bye!" Jennie leaves as Jisoo walks in, she smelt the fresh pine of the tree at the corner. The Christmas decorations sitting and showing off to everyone, her sisters loved Christmas.

The sound of music plays as she sets her stuff down and walks to the living room, one of her sisters placing pillows on the couch. She looks over at the TV seeing how it displays a fireplace.

"Oh! How was school?!" She saw the joy from her sister,

"It was good, Decorating?" She questions as her sister smiled.

"Always!" She says, "you should invite your friends for dinner tonight!"

"Can't, Going to a party." She says as her sister frowns,

"Then next time?"

"Hopefully. I'll be in my room."

"Got it!"

She enters her room and closed the door before working on her project, one she never told anyone about. She finished the names as they dried with the permanent black ink, she placed them all in order and smiled before placing it all in a red bow she placed a bow on it.

What a wonderful present.

The day grew quicker as night approached, she gets a message from Lisa saying the party was canceled due to the person getting grounded. So she offered if they wanted to stay a night at her place.

It was a yes.

She dresses as her friends were dropped off by their parents, by now her sisters have all left to go to their boyfriend's leaving her all alone.

"Guess who?" She opened the door and smiled seeing the three, she lets them in the house and closed the door.

"You're sisters left?" Rosé asks as Jisoo nods,

"Movie night!" Jennie says as the three go to the living room. Lisa hopped on the couch with Jennie as Rosé and Jisoo sat on the floor, Rosé rests her head on Jisoo's shoulder as they watched some child movie. (They picked randomly)

"Wow, More rainbow than me." Lisa jokes as the movie was meant for children.

"I'm gonna use the bathroom," Jisoo says as Rosé lifted her head, the older walks upstairs and disappeared.

"I can't believe Kai got grounded!" Jennie says, "he hyped it up for nothing."

"Yeah, but he had it coming." Lisa rolled her eyes, "your boyfriend isn't all innocent."

"He's not my- Why do you pick on me?! I'm not the one with a crush!" Jennie defends, "it's Rosie!"

"I-"

"At least I don't like her," Jennie says as Rosé stood up and ran upstairs to the bathroom.

"See look what you di-" their voices could be heard as Rosé walks down the hall, she could hear something fall in a room as her legs guided her to the bathroom.

"Jisoo Unnie?" No response.

"Unnie?" No response.

"UNNIE?!?" She knocks harder and louder, No response.

"JENNIE! LISA! GET UP HERE!" She shouts before trying to kick down the door, thankfully she manages and both girls run upstairs.

The door opens more and Rosé screams, Jennie and Lisa look and everything changes-

The sight of Jisoo sitting on the floor as pills sat empty on the counter, fresh new cuts on her arms bleeds, and her eyes that were daydreaming.

"Unnie!" Rosé runs up to her and grabs her, she didn't mind the blood. "Call 911!"

"Got it!" Lisa dialed as Jennie was shaking in fear, why? Why is this happening?

"Jisoo, open your eyes come on!" Rosé gently grabbed her face as Jisoo looks slowly at her and smiled, tears ran down the chipmunk's face as Jisoo lifted her weak arms and wrapped them around her neck.

"Chaeyoung-ah, I love you." I love you... What did that mean?

"Jisoo..." She says shakily as Jisoo continued to look at her lovingly, "I-"

"I'm sorry." Jisoo sighs, her body felt so weak. "I tried, I tried my best."

"I know." Rosé says as she bit back the sob trying to escape.

"I love you and I hope you know that." Jisoo says, she looks over at Jennie, who stared at her with a pained expression.

'Take care of her' Jisoo mouthed as Jennie looks at the ground, Lisa faced the wall as she finishes the call, She covered her ears like a coward and shut her eyes tightly, Jennie placed her hands on her ears protecting her from the yelling.

"Jisoo?"

"Jisoo?! Stop!"

"Stop! Keep your eyes open!" But they soon closed.

Yelling was heard as Jennie replied, The paramedics took Jisoo as Rosé was left with her blood.

"Come on" Jennie says softly, she kneeled to Rosé, the girl was feeling every emotion. "Lisa's in the car."

Rosé stands up along with Jennie and the three would soon go to the hospital, but the red bow present never moved.
