Hand in Hand, Step by Step : Young Night

Sunday passed like it never existed and school started once again. I was at school early again and Shota dragged me to participate in the basket ball training, then trying to impress me with some moves which I didn't show interest too. When basketball training was over I walked with the team like usual but something changed.

"Hey (Y/N) would you like to go to the ball with me?" said a boy who lets say loudly whispered. "Awww come on man I was going to ask her that!" someone else said as he grabbed my arm and messed with my hair. "Come on boys you know who she is going to pick..." a familiar voice said as I sighed and glared at Shota. "Oh are you scared that you will lose the bet if you went with me?" he cheekily said as a smirk grew on his face. "No, just giving your many girls a chance" I said as the rest of the team were still trying to ask me to this ball, what is this ball?

Finally I made it to the change rooms and quickly got ready to class so I wouldn't have to bump in to Shota. Some more boys asked me on my way to my class but I just answered with either a smile or "I'll think about it" and walked away straight afterwards. When I managed to sit down I laid my head on the desk and decided to put my ear-phones on before I more boys come. It worked at first but what then I remembered something when my chair was pulled out beneath me.

I fell to the cold, hard concrete floor with my earphones almost choking me after being tangled. I looked beside me to see Hikaru and Karou leaning from my chair. "Now (Y/N)-chan noticed us!" they said in unison as I got up and dusted myself. "What do you guys want?" I asked with a frustrated tone, could this day get any worse?... wait it's Monday.

Karou was the first to talk, "you should thank us for snapping you out of your daydream, class is going to start soon" he said as Hikaru stood in front of him, "and number two many of your guests have been asking you to the ball, if you carry on like it would most likely make them not come" he said as they made their way back to their desk. "What exactly is this ball thing?" I asked when I went to retrieve my chair. Haruhi that was nearby froze, the twins then gave me an unamused look. "You really don't know the ball the host is making?" they both asked as I shook my head and inverted my attention to Haruhi, did I say something wrong? "Well haven't you noticed Haruhi practicing the waltz with Kanako Kasugazaki?" I heard Hikaru say, I am not the best with names so I gave them a confused look.

"Anyway, the host club is organizing a ball for all the guests, another opportunity for them to interact with us hosts" Karou said as they both glanced at Haruhi, "boss got made because Haruhi 'took' a host hopper named Kanako, now she has to attempt to dance the waltz perfectly or else we would tell her secret."

Before I could say anything else the teacher walked in, and then the day truly began. I had to study hard now because exams were going to commence soon, and being the goody-two-shoes in class I wrote and listened to everything that was said.

During music club we were organizing our performance against other schools and must I say we are sure competitive. Other than the choreography today was the day the singing club announced the lead singers, Tapiwa of course being the head of the singing department was one of the lead singers. I really didn't care about being lead, as long as I am part of the singing club and I am having a good time, I'm happy. Another girl who was quiet popular in the singing club stood forward, she had long black hair and big, beautiful brown eyes as well as a pretty famine body figure. Her name was Emi and other than the people who were envious and jealous everyone clapped for her.

Though when we were about to perform one more practice someone shouted "what about (Y/N)? I would like to request her to be another lead singer." With this I froze and tried to hide my face in the middle of the club. Tapiwa smiled and spoke up, "(Y/N)? where are you?" Unluckily for me someone dragged me from my hiding place to the front. I tried my best to retain posture and looked at Tapiwa. "Would you like to be lead singer (Y/N)?" she asked as I stuttered "I don't really care.... as long as I can sing I'm happy." People in the crowd started to talk about the sudden new singer but someone stood out in the crowd, "but Tapiwa there are only two main roles other than back up, there can ONLY be two lead singers." I turned around to see Emi with her arms crossed giving me a mean look, some other girls started to join Emi with saying things like "why does (Y/N) get a special role while the ones who asked get nothing".
