You heard them make assumptions and theories. This wasn't going to get them anywhere, they obviously would cut off communication between them and the school.
Choosing to shut them up you did, "You're all so annoying." You spoke while staring at them from behind your hair, they couldn't help but stare in suspicion, why weren't you panicking?
