The days to follow after I got home were very quiet and normal. It was just us four- me, my mom, Sarah, and Trevor. Mostly all we did was catch up.
Sarah and Trevor had been back from their Australia trip for two weeks, and they were leaving again at the end of the week to go to some European country for more studies. I had a feeling they were studying each other more than anything else though.
My mom was also going on a trip soon; to Alaska with her boyfriend. It was funny how I got home and in less than a week I would be alone again. That was if Harry didn’t show up.
My mom hadn’t asked about that situation, and Sarah waited until Sunday night to confront me in my room.
“I have heard some things Shai,” she says sitting on the end of my bed. “About you and Harry.”
“And?” I snap.
“You haven’t mentioned him either. What’s going on?” she asks. I feel relieved to actually have someone to talk to about this.
“He cheated Sarah.” I choke out. “I was upset and confused so I slept with Justin. Harry came to LA and things got out of hand.” I ramble.
“So you aren’t with Harry anymore?” she asks hesitantly.
“I don’t know. We talked a little and he said he wanted to talk face to face.” I pause. “I really just want to see him.”
“So when will you see him?” she asks and I shrug.
“He said he was coming here.”
“When?” she asks shocked. She had never actually met this boy…
“I don’t know,” I tell her. “But I hope it’s soon.”
“You know what’s sad? You have had more experiences with boys than me and I am two and a half years older than you.” She says and I laugh while wiping my tears away…
“Don’t say that, it makes me sound like a slut.” I say.
“You are not. Harry was your first boyfriend, Trevor is still my only boyfriend.” She smiles shyly.
“When will he man up and marry you?” I ask and her cheeks flush pink. “Oh hell, he purposed?” I almost yell and she nods furiously.
“We are announcing it tomorrow when everyone is here,” she says and I hug her.
At least someone’s life was good.
Harry’s POV
It had been so long since I’d been here. But even in the dark of the night I could easily remember the road to Shai’s house. I pull into the driveway and turn off the car- rentals never were the best.
I couldn’t wait any longer. I get out of the car and walk around the house until I am right under her window. I look up into the black night before dialing her number. I see a light turn on and she answers.
“Harry? It’s two in the morning, why are you calling me?” her cute raspy voice asks.
“We need to talk.” I say.
“Yeah but didn’t we decide on talking face to face?” she asks and I hear her get out of bed.
“We did. Look out the window Shai.” I say and her figure quickly appears in front of the window. Her hand covers her mouth and she leans against the glass.
“I’ll be right down.” She says quietly before hanging up and disappearing from view. I run to the front of the house and watch her quietly walk outside.
We stand there a few feet apart just looking at each other. She looked different, like she wasn’t healthy. In an instant she is running to me and my arms are wrapped around her fragile body. She had definitely lost weight.
“God Harry I’m so sorry, I was angry and I wasn’t thinking. I just want things back to normal.” She says as her tears wet my shoulder.
“Shai no, it’s me. It’s my fault. Please forgive me?” I ask desperately. I couldn’t lose her.
“We have to work out our problems. Harry I want to be with you.” She says quietly and drops her arms to her side. I let go of her and take a step back to observe her again.
“Shai you’ve lost so much weight.” I say quietly. It had been just over two weeks since I last saw her LA and she seemed to have been at least twenty pounds lighter.
“I guess a little.” She shrugs.
“This isn’t good Shai, have you been eating?” the protective side of me was coming out.
“I’m fine Harry.” She snaps then looks at the ground. “I’ll be fine,” she whispers and I walk closer so our bodies are touching.
“You know what today is?” I ask and her eyes light up as she slowly nods. A smile spreads across her face and I gently press my lips to hers. I missed her kiss. I missed everything about her.
“It’s really late Harry,” she says. “Are you staying?”
“I probably shouldn’t just barge in like this. What would your mom think?” I ask and she looks at the ground again.
“Okay, will you be back tomorrow?” she asks hopefully.
“I’ll be here around eleven if that works.” I say and she smiles and nods. She looked so cute right now. So innocent, so delicate; like when we first met.
“And my sister is here, you can meet her.” She says and I’m glad she still wants me. That’s all I could ask for.

I slide the hotel key and open the door to find just the bathroom light on. All four of them were asleep in strange positions around the room.
Zayn was upside down in the chair, Niall was half off the bed, Liam was on the floor cuddling a pillow, and Louis was spread out on the second bed. Why were they all in here when we had gotten another room? I try to close the door quietly but Liam wakes up.
“You’re back.” He says and shakes Louis’ leg. “Haz is back.” He says and Louis sits up fast.
“How’d it go?” he asks with a tired smile.
“I feel it was pretty good. We are going to try and work things out.” I say and Louis throws his hands up in victory.
“Yes!” he says and falls back to the bed. “I can sleep in peace.”
“I’m glad things are going right mate,” Liam says standing up. “And now that I know it’s good I am going to the other room.”
“Yeah I might go too so I have a bed.” I laugh and follow him across the hall.
As I lay my head down the last thing that goes through my mind is Shai’s smile.
