He rushes into the hospital
"I'm here for my wife Venus Brown" he walks frantically back and fourth in the hospital.
"She's in the operation room sir you have to wait here".
He's try's to go through the operation doors but security stops him, he sighs in defeat.
He decides to go and sit in one of the chairs in the lobby
He checks his watch
1 hour goes by...
2 hours.....
3 hours......
He gets tired and realizes his wife isn't coming out of operation anytime soon so he closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep.
The next day
It's a bright morning
Her husband wakes up and doesn't leave the hospital.
He walks over to get coffee.
After a few minutes of having his breakfast the nurse calls out
"Mr.Brown your wife is awake"
He gets up quickly and rushes to the room.
"She remembers little to nothing because she has lost a lot of blood." The doctor says with caring eyes as he leaves the room.
Her husband nods walking into the room.
Venus looks confused she doesn't know who this man is.
"You don't remember who I am" he sighs as he sits down in one of the chairs
Venus shakes her head she doesn't recognize him at all
"Well," he sits back in his chair "I'm your husband Levi, Levi Brown"
"We've been married for a year now"
Venus looks down at the ring on her finger.
"What happened to me, why can't I remember anything"
She looks at her condition her body is in.
"You were in a car accident, I came here as soon as I heard about it, your memory probably won't come back for awhile but we can always make new ones" he smiles reassuringly brushing his thumb on her hand
Venus brushes his hand away a little, she still doesn't know him and doesn't feel comfortable around him
"Why aren't my parents here, shouldn't they have heard about the accident?
He gets tense he know how much her Moms death affected her before now she has to relive that nightmare.
"Your Mom passed away a 2 years ago you never knew your dad."
Tears fill Venus's eyes.
"Can I be alone for a minute please"
He nods and steps out the room.
A few days later
"And this was you with our friends, you were such a social light" he points to the photo from the book and smiles
Venus smiles, nothing seems familiar to her yet but she has gotten closer to Levi.
Venus does her memory games and practices to to walk, only one leg is injured.
3 months later
Venus signs her signature as she is being discharged from the hospital, they sent her home with a cane for her to practice her walking.
Levi helps her into the car, the ride to their home was silent but the comfortable silence.
The jeep pulls into the huge driveway of their humongous home in the woods, the gates open, Levi helps Venus out of the car onto her wheelchair.
Venus stares at the huge cabin-like house in awe.
"I cant believe this is our home" she says.
