"SPAAACE" Wheatley had given up yelling after Chell and found himself listening in on his friends obsessed ramblings. The guy wasn't wrong. They were in space. At least one of them was happy about that fact.

One of them had finally got their dream. Wheatley had just lost his. Not the facility although being in charge for once in his life had been an awful lot of fun. That was his old dream. In the last few seconds on Earth he found himself a new dream. He wanted to explain himself. It was a small dream but it meant so much to him.

But he knew he wouldn't get that chance. She had trapped him up there. He tried to convince himself that there was no need to explain anything. Somehow it wasn't his fault. It was GLaDOS's for treating him so badly for so long. It was Chell's for not finding the escape pod sooner. It was the scientist's for making him the way they had.

He couldn't do it. No matter how hard he tried he just couldn't lie to himself. It was all his fault. He had done something terrible. This was his punishment. Everyone knows in space nobody can hear you scream. And nobody can hear you cry. And nobody can hear you say you're sorry.

No. He couldn't think that way. Thinking like that could drive him crazy. Positive thinking thats all he needed. After all positive thinking had got him through the times GLaDOS had kept him down. Then it got him through the years where she wasn't there at all. It would get him through now.

"Just think about something that makes you happy" he told himself "Think and don't stop thinking"

He did exactly that. He kept the things that made him happy clear in mind. He thought of Earth. He thought of Chell so many miles away. He thought of the day the two of them would be reunited. It would be soon. This wasn't going to be forever. Someone would come to rescue him. All he had to do was wait. And wait.

And wait...
