Because of my try to find death, the guide decided we should end the trip there, so we all head to the bus and I ended up being forced to hold hands with the same tall dude that betrayed me with his footsteps back then. Who even builds a snowman in top of a mountain?!

As we slowly walked, I still had the hope to see the owl again. Since we have a string between us, it should be around.

There is a legend saying that some people have strings with the "half-humans" or simply with animals. I don't know if Snowy is a half-human, but I can't doubt the posibility. The legend says that once you meet your pair you won't be able to leave eachother.

I didn't feel anything as I continued to walk, so it means that it's somewhere near here.

"Why did you want to die?"

I shaked my head when I heard the voice that came from the guy next to me. I couldn't tell him about my string, I didn't even know him after all so I just stayed silent.

"Hey."

He knew I could hear him, so he kept trying on catching my attention. Why did he care though. From the first time I started my highschool years no one cared about me, only my best friend, Maya.

"Look at me. I'm serious."

His tone of voice suddenly became more deep. He waited for my reaction a few seconds. Since he didn't get anything, he grabbed my chin and forced me to look at him.

My eyes were wide open, surprised of his actions. I didn't see his face until now, just his back. He had some blue-greenish eyes and black hair. His eyes were set on mine, waiting for me to say something, but I remained silent.

The intense eye contact was broke by the sound of a bird. I was sure it was Snowy. It came and hit his head with its legs, making me laugh a bit.

"Stupid bird!" he said. He seemed mad, but I was more pissed at his words towards my Snowy.

"Apologize for calling it like that." I said, my first words finally escaping my lips.

He seemed surprised. It's like someone sees a child talk for their first time. But he wasn't happy. My words made him more mad and just kept walking, pulling my hand hard, making me walk faster by his side.

I looked back in the air. Snowy dissapeard from my sight again. I already miss it.

We were walking for a long time already. More and more thoughts came in my head, some of them getting from weird to weirder.

"How did you lose yourself from the crowd? You were behind me for the whole time." He broke the ice between us again.

I decided to talk, since I can't stay silent forever. I knew he would laugh or call me dumb, but it's better than having Snowy come and give him a joint in the head once again.

"I was behind you, but somehow I woke up standing behind a snowman, thinking the guide was talking, reason why "you" were standing. You see, for the whole time since we started to walk I had my eyes closed, basing on the sound of your footsteps."

"That sounds dumb and impressive at the same time" He chuckled. "You must have a good ear if you could hear my footsteps even with the cold wind beating pretty hard, making it harder to even hear anything. But the part when you stopped with the snowman was pretty dumb. If I would stop, why won't you open your eyes?"

"I didn't know you, but I placed some trust in you, knowing that you will follow the guide." I answered.

"You trust people too easy." His tone of voice started to change from laugh to serious again.
