Chapter 5

When I arrived home, I started to do my usuals, such as homework. Then I watched some netflix and just relaxed until I noticed it was already 6:30 pm. 'Why isn't Jack back yet?'.

I started to worry. Our classes ended at 4, why isn't he back after 2 hours and a half? The more minutes passed, the more worried I become. That until I heard a knock on the door.

I got in front of it in seconds. I had a smile prepared on my face to greet Jake, but when I opened it, everything faded away. The one staying in front of my door wasn't Jake, but Trevor.

"Hi Alice!"

"Hi. Do you know where Jake is?"

He seemed confused.

"Why? Do you guys live together? Or maybe did he have to come over?" His shoulders tensed. Of course I couldn't tell him that me and Jake were living together, too much information for nothing. I had to come up with an excuse.

"No, he just needed to come over so we could do a project for some after school activity".

"Ah, I see. I haven't seen him, but I'm here to replace him and become your guest today" He said with a soft smile. I wasn't expecting this. I was wearing some comfortable clothes, which means some shorts and a hoodie. I couldn't let him in like that. Plus, my laptop with a movie was waiting.

"Why..? Do you need help with something?"

"No, just felt like we didn't talk so much today" We didn't talk much today, we talked too much, I said to myself. "So just wanted to come over and watch a movie. I mean, that's what friends do, right?"

The word "friends" came to my ears like an arrow. I wasn't used to having friends. My only one is Maya, and she's still sick. I guess I could let him in, until Jake would show up. I really hope he does...

"Sure. Come in, I just started watching a movie, want to join?"

"Of course!"

I moved the laptop from the bed to the sofa, and then I went in the kitchen to take some snacks.

"Mmm... Some pervy stuff you got on this laptop, maybe I can find some pictures of you naked" He said with an amused tone. I imediately ran out of the kitchen and took the laptop in my hands. I could bet I was blushing.

"I'm gonna... take this with me while I'm preparing us something to eat". My tone sounded nervous. I actually had some sketchy photos with boys, and a few with me when I was little, glad he didn't actually find them.

When we finished the movie, it was about 8 pm. Jake still didn't come back. I even checked the door for a few times, but nothing. I couldn't wait for Trevor to go so I could get out of my appartment and find him.

"Well, the movie is over. Guess I have to take my leave". YES!

"Sure" I said, at the point of jumping around of happiness.

Trevor was about to finally leave the door, but he turned back, with a smirk on his face.

"We should do that again sometimes. I like spending time with you". Even if his cute goodbye melted in my ears, I was too concentrated on where I should go first to find Jake.

"Same, bye". I said like an hipocrite. I didn't want to say it like this, so I reformuled. "I-I mean, I had a great time with you too. Maybe next time we will go to Starbucks or something".

"Hope so, see ya tomorrow!"

And that's how he finally left. I speeded to the bedroom and changed to some clothes that I could actually go out of my house with. Of course, a pair of jeans and a shirt. Can't waste time with something else right now.
