After he told me we will fly to find shelter where he will treat his wound, we both went silent, the only sound remaining being the wind's, letting it beat in my ears as we passed by the painted-like views around us.

I felt like that shelter was miles away, since we already flew from almost a half of an hour. I didn't want to seem annoying, but I was too temped to ask.

"When are we going to get there?"

"I don't know where we're going. As soon as I see one that's what we're moving towards. And... bingo! Here it is!"

I still wasn't seeing anything, just a few mountains and the foggy air. He suddenly moved his wings in a different direction, making us go straight towards a mountain. My heart skipped a beat.

"Hey! We are going to hit the mountain! Slow down!"

I was screaming disperately at him, but he ignored me. I closed my eyes, like I knew what was waiting for me. A few more seconds and we will hit the hard stones of a mountain. I always wondered how they felt, so I guess this was my opportunity.

I fell off his back. It didn't hurt much though. Was I dead already? I slowly opened my eyes, just to see Jake staring at me from above my head. He didn't look concerned, so he just took the left direction with an indifferent expression.

"Am I dead?"

"Weren't you listening to what I told you before we were going towards this cave?" he asked like he didn't know my answer, but I was sure he knew I didn't listen so he just continued talking. "We didn't go straight to the mountain, we went straight to the cave in the mountain. That will be our shelter." He said, pushing a soft smile as he talked.

I was still laying on the floor. I was analazying the ca- wait.

"What'a going to happen with me?! Will I still go to college? Will I see my friends again?!"

I screamed, these words leaving my mouth from a side of mine that I wasn't used to.

"I'm surprised you didn't mention your family. About your friends, college, blah blah and stuff we will talk later, first I need to treat my wound but it would be hella easier if I would have something like you humans have... I think they are named med kits right?"

"Yeah, med-kits. There were a few in the bus I just had to leave but maybe we can find a source of water or something that can help. I think even snow would be helpful if you're not severly injured. Can I take a look?"

"Sure. But don't be too absorbed by my looks" He said with a smirk.

"In your dreams. Now move your ass here."

As I was taking a look, I noticed he didn't look so different from an owl, even in his human form. One day I need to enter the library for the first time and search for a book reffered to the half humans.

I went to take some snow and quickly came back to apply it carefully. It wasn't the best idea, but I couldn't let him like that. While flying, his wound became wider, the blood flowing out faster with every moment passing. Plus, snow was a source of water. Cold but water, so it won't do any harm, right?

I didn't tell him that I wasn't so good at these kind of things, but I better not tell him if I want to keep him calm.

He seemed to trust my touch. He was staring deep into my eyes with a weird look, but I assume it was because I was helping him.

We decided to wait until his wound would heal. I mean, I decided this. He didn't want to listen to me, but I knew what I was doing. If he would push himself to fly again, especially a long distance, with me on his back once again who knows how bad it will get. So, after a prrtty turned on argument, I finally made it to his nod.
