epilogue
THERE WAS A BRIGHT LIGHT. It was so warm. Everything felt so warm and relaxed. The trees nearby brushed against each other with a calm aura surrounding the group of special people. Watching over Morgan Stark at the moment, seeing the little girl who resembled so much of her father, Elaine sighed with a small smile. Of course, nobody was particularly enchanted with joy at the moment.
She then turned to Wanda, the woman with the tear-stained cheeks and her hands shoved into her coat pockets. Wanda was grieving, and so was the man next to her.
James Barnes.
He was grieving over the woman who had just confessed her feelings, saying three words he never said back. He was staring down at a lake with two wreaths representing two people. The love of his life, and Tony.
"Damn, you're so depressing."
Elaine rolled her eyes and turned to her dead best friend. "Really, Nat?"
The assassin smirked and pointed at Bucky. "I mean, come on, Elaine. You're sister has nobody, and Bucky is about to shatter. You're life sucked."
"Says the one who jumped off a cliff." Elaine scoffed. "Oh, and let's not forget the fact you left Yelena all alone."
"Oh, shut up." Natasha stood, shaking her head as they watched the funeral go on for Elaine and Tony.
She remembered nothing. There was nothing.
She felt as though she was visiting her family. But how could she be sure? There was no memories. No sadness. But something was wrong.
The way she was dressed, the scenery. It was all wrong. She didn't belong here. This was wrong. This was so wrong. This didn't feel right.
"Elaine?" A sweet voice called from the front door. The redhead turned to the door, her feet forcing her to walk over to the door and open it. There was a woman there. "Elaine! There you are."
Wanda. Her name was Wanda.
A smirk laid on Elaine's sister's face. "We've got a lot to do."
