Boots On The Ground

The regiment aboard the Taxer had launched from the hangar as soon as they had captured it. The Blood regiment had already launched as the Taxer's unit was capturing the hangar. The LAATs were now zipping through space and towards the planet surface when Doc spoke up.

"What's the plan sir?" Doc asked.

"We'll land with Blood regiment and fight any droids on the ground. Once we've took the ground we'll siege the labs." Arc explained. "When we invade the labs we'll have a few gunships transport men to the few landing pads while the rest of us advance through elevators into the labs."

"That seems a bit risky sir." Doc replied.

"I know but it's what we got." Arc said.

"It's gonna get bumpy sir." The pilot said. "We're flying into heavy enemy AA fire."

"Just get us to the ground pilot." Arc replied.

"Yes sir!" The pilot said.

The outer layers of the doors shifted alittle to allow the troopers to see through some gaps at the ongoing chaos. Multiple red lasers were flying through the air causing the republic gunships to swerve around on there decent to the ground. A few gunships almost collided together trying to avoid being shot down.

"Sir should we ask Jetter for support?" Bronze asked.

"Yeah. Call them in." Arc replied.

Bronze turned and began to signal Jetter through his comlink while the gunship jerked around to avoid being hit. Once they were half way to the ground the doors opened up all the way revealing the full extent of the battle. Multiple droid AA turrets we're scattered along the ground.

"Sir...I think this is proof enough that the Techno Union is part of the confederacy." Dogger said.

"Unfortunately this won't do. We need proof because this could be passed off as a droid invasion." Arc replied.

"Captain. Guardian regiment is gone." Bronze said.

"What do you mean?" Arc asked.

"Jetter is reporting that the regiment was destroyed during the space battle." Bronze replied.

"An entire regiment?" Arc asked.

"Yes sir." Bronze replied.

Arc signed as he thought about the loss of an entire regiment. Then he noticed all the little figures in 2nd air borne armor on the ground fighting towards some droid ships. Most were hard cells but a few were 7797  landing ships which were still unloading supplies. Some of Arc's regiment were landing and deploying their troopers into the field of battle. One gunship zoomed past Arc's and was shot down while another swerved to avoid a shot and crashed into another gunship.

"Pilot land the ship and we'll continue on foot." Arc said.

"Copy that sir." The pilot replied.

The ship began to descend towards the ground and Arc saw as one gunship tried to fly closer but was shot down and crashed off in the distance towards the droids. Arc's gunship landed and unloaded Arc and his men. The gunship took off and began to fly away and was shot into ball of fire as it plummeted back to the planet surface. At that same moment multiple AA turret in placements blew up from v-19 star fighters coming down from space.

"Ok, let's go boys." Arc ordered as he joined the masses of blood regiment troopers.

The group ran with the blood regiment and Arc's own regiment as they ran towards the droids ships. At the same moment multiple waves of droids were running to meet the republic forces. Droid AATs began to fire on the mass of clones surging forward.

"We need tanks!" Arc shouted.

"Tanks are about to land." Bronze said.

As he said that multiple modified LAATs descended and dropped some AT-TEs on the ground that began to fire at the droid AATs and droid infantry.

"Just like the 1st battle of Geonosis." A trooper said.

The droids and clones were now colliding in the middle. Many troopers began to use their blasters as melee weapons and used them to bash into the droids. Some troopers with DC-15Xs were taking up any elevated positions they could and began to fire out at droids.

Doc had ran off to help wounded as he saw them. Wheeler had his sword in one hand with a pistol in the other and it seemed like he was blocking shots with his sword. The rest of the squad was doing there things and blasting the droids. One group of republic snipers had set up on a some rocks and were picking away at big groups of droids when an AAT locked onto their spot and shot it, sending the troopers flying in different directions.

"Those tanks are gonna be a problem." Bronze noted.

"Bring rockets up and they can start picking away at the tanks that the walkers don't get." Arc said.

At one point Blood and Titan had appeared and were battling a group of super battle droids with a handful of their regiment. The AA guns were still shooting down fighters but most had been destroyed but there was two of them sitting in front of the droid ships protecting them from republic fighters.

"We have to take out those AA guns so our fighters can attack the droid ships." Arc said.

The republic tanks began to advance and were forcing the droids back as they blew up the droid tanks. At one point Arc had ducked behinds one leg and then made his way back out to its side and saw as a dwarf spider droid was firing at the tank. It landed a lucky shot in the pilot area and the driver slumped forward and the walking began charging forward forcing the clones to move to the side to avoid being stepped on. The crew of the walker began to bail out as the tank charged towards the droid lines.

Some of the crew was shot down as they got out. Others fought back and joined up with the main group. The two armies continued to clash with hand to hand combat becoming more dominant. The droids were being forced back as all but one of their tanks fell. The republics walkers were now gunning for any AA guns.

One group of clones managed to get in rocketing range and fired. The last AAT tank went up in flames and the clones cheered as they pushed forward. A Y-wing bomber attempted an attack on a droid hard cell ship but the AA shot it down and instead the Y-wing crashed right into one of the AA turrets.

The clones continued to surge towards the final turret and cheered as an AT-TE fired a shot taking out the turret. Multiple republic star fighters launched attacks on the hard cells and some of the 7797 ships. Most of the hard cells blew up along with a 7797. Any other ships managed to launch and began to escape. The fighters chased after them while the clones wiped at the last of the droids.

"Now we siege the labs!!" Arc shouted as gunships landed.
