Sirens blared as CIS warships exited infront of the Republic fleet above Yuka Prime. The hologram infront of Arc displayed two Lucrehulks, six Providences Destroyers, twelve Munificent Frigates, three DH-Omni Support Vessels, six Lupas Missile Frigates, and ten Hardcell Transports. It was clear the droids meant business and luckily for the Republic the Redeemers had already proven their skill in combat. ARC-170s exited out of the Redeemers with the Venators deploying their Z-95s and Y-Wings. Fighter wings began reporting in as little dots could be seen exiting the CIS ships. Arc would press a button displaying a small hologram of him in all the fighter cockpits.
"Alright brothers, this will be the hardest battle you've all fought. The droids outnumber us by about six to one, I can't promise any of you will make it back...I can't promise we'll win this battle. The droid numbers are vast and their fleets bigger than ours but we have something they don't. We have each other, droids we'll be working individually or in their programmed groups. You've got the ability to work as a bigger unit, as a team. Something the droids can't even think of, show them what it means to be a clone. Let this battle be written in the archives as the day the CIS was forced to flee from the Republic. Today we show who's soldier is the superior trooper, for the Republic brothers." Arc's hologram would flicker out.
Thousands of droid fighters filled the sky, it was clear that the republic was probably about to lose this battle but they had to try. The fighters began grouping up into their squadrons, the squadron leaders reporting in and chattering between each other before they battle started. Arc listened, his mind racing in multiple different directions as he tried to find a way of winning this but none seemed likely, maybe he could convince the CIS to retreat if they destroyed enough of the fleet or maybe force them to retreat if he could destroy most of the invasion force. The Lupas, Hardcells, DH-Omni Support Vessels, and Munificents would be easy prey for the Redeemers.
"Silver what do you think we should do here?" Arc asked as he looked at the concentrated admiral.
"I'm not sure captain, maybe the Redeemers can focus on the bigger ships while the rest of the fleet deals with the rest but we're bound to lose a lot of ships and fighters." Silver explained.
"That's the price of war sadly." Arc replied.
"If my guess is right, this price of war is going to cost us atleast half the fleet unless we get a miracle." Silver retorted.
"If that's what it takes." Arc stated.
Silver scowled as he continued to look at the holo image before them. The droid fighter swarm was rapidly approaching the republic fleet with a bomber horde behind it. Republic squadrons began spreading out to try and screen the enemy advance. It seemed the Lucrehulks were hanging back at the end of the CIS fleet with the DH-Omni between them. The Hardcells scattered around them as well, no doubt full of droid ground forces. The Providences and Munificents followed behind the droid bombers, with them came the Lupas Missile Frigates which was odd considering they had an ok range.
"Well Captain, I think we got our miracle." Silver said.
"How so?" Arc asked.
"All capital ships, focus fire on the Munificents. Full power to forward cannons and shields. Everything else targets those Lupas Missile Frigates. Fighters, keep those bombers away from the ships. I want ARC-170s spear heading the charge with Z-95s chasing anything that got through. Bombers remain back and aid the Z-95s as needed but don't engage in unfavorable combat, we'll need y'all for something else." Silver ordered into a fleet wide comm.
"Those Providences will tear apart our support ships." Arc pointed out.
"Maybe but we've got three new ships that the CIS have only seen once. That should peak the interest of the three Providences." Silver explained.
