KARNA : THE WARRIOR

CHAPTER 6

“I dare” came a shout from the stands everyone turned around to see a young man was jumping in the arena With a bow in his hands. When he landed he just summersaulted and was standing with his back straight and bow in his hands.  Everyone got a better look at him. They were amazed by his good looks. Though he was wearing commoner clothes there is divine aura around him. He was standing there silently, his muscles were pronounced but what captivated those who can see him was his mark on fore head. Dhritrashtra and Ghandhari was also asking their trusted aid what has happened. Vidhur and Ghandhari told them that a young man has shot an arrow to free Duryodhana and jumped in the arena with his bow. They both told them his features. Dronacharya was looking at him angrily.

Dronacharya : Who are you and how dare to shoot arrow in the arena where princes of Hastinapur are show casing their valour.

Karna : I am an archer acharya Drona and you only have invited and forced me to shoot arrow.

Dronacharya : When have I ever invited anyone.

Karna : You declared you student as best Archer and by doing so you have invited not only me all the archer of the world. Well I would have no problem him calling him best Archer among kuru princes but you challenged every archer so I want to see how true is your claim, if your student prince Arjun defeat me then I will accept him better than me.

Karna know since Dronacharya never said about him being best teacher, he couldn't bring that up as it can be used against him. This was power words can have a slight mistake and it can be used against you and words are like arrow once shot you can't take it back. Dronacharya of course understood his hidden meaning too. He was even more angered. He wants to use his words against him too.

Dronacharya : Better than you! Even if he defeat you you would never accept him as best, so why should he fight you if I know he is better than you already.

Karna : Dronacharya, there is only one best Archer in this world that is devadidev Mahadev. No one else can be best only better. If you are so confident that he is better than me then let him show everyone.

Dronacharya was surprised by his words. He knew he was in bind. He wanted to retort but had nothing to argue against it . Seeing Arjun replied.

Arjun : I accept your challenge. I will prove what gurudev said is true. I may not be as great archer than Mahadev or any other dev but I am best in Aaryavrat and prithvi lok.

Karna : Don't be full of yourself Prince Arjun, let alone anyone else I'm Aaryavrat as you are now you can't defeat Dronacharya and Mahamahim Bheeshma who are present here so it will be better if you talk about entire Aaryavrat.

Everyone was once again shocked hearing this. Arjun was feeling humiliated in front of crowd first this person questioned Gurudevs and when he tried to salvage the situation he embarassed himself too. Arjun thinking he was deliberately doing this. Other were simply shocked to say anything else. The well wishers of Pandavas and like Kunti, Vidhur of royals were not liking this because they know consequences. Ghandhari and others were clearly agreeing with young man. Kauravas especially Duryodhana was especially happy that for the first time someone is telling any Pandavas they are wrong. He was already impressed by young man when he freed him at that time his own guru was praising his precious Arjun instead of helping him but this young man helped him. Bheeshma though agreeing what young man said was frowning because he was questioning next generation of Kuruvansh. He was seeing the young man only, he can tell he was not ordinary just because he was standing with his back straight and retorting a Arjun in front of entire Hastinapur including royals, Pandavas, Dronacharya and him. There was not on nce if fear in him.  There is as another unexpected person who was impressed that was none other than Ashwatthama. He was actually fed up with arrogance of his father and his extra care and love for his favourite student Arjun. He was enjoying the show. Bheem and Nakul got Angry too but Sahdev told them the young man was speaking was speaking the truth and Yudhishthir agreed with Sahdev which cause Bheem and Nakul to grumble but they kept quiet.
