KARNA : THE WARRIOR

CHAPTER 2

There was little time in sunrise, but Karna still hasn't caught the stone, though it never flew out of his reach but it was to fast and Karna was not able to catch it. Karna was after it since he started the test, he never took his eyes on of it or ever stopped ever catch it. Seeing the sunrise was about to happen Karna was getting anxious but it's not resulted in anything. So he decided to Calm down and look at it complete focus . He became complete still and focus absolutely at the stone flying in front of his face. The stone was flying around him but unlike before he wasn't moving around but looking at it. He noticed though it seems random but there is pattern and before it changes direction, it stops for a very brief period of time. He waited and when stone stopped to change direction he leaped towards it like lion jumps upon his pray and caught it. He saw it was still some time before first rays will fall. He ran towards the place where Bhagwan Parshuram, Saint Vishwamitra and shukracharya was. He reached there and finds them meditating, he froze because he didn't want to disturb their meditation but he didn't want to fail to. The sunrise was about to happen. Various emotions came across his face but He has to decide quickly. He decided to not disturb them in their meditation he knew with this he failed so he turned and was going to leave but at that time sunrise happened and first sunrays falls to let darkness disappear. Karna with tearful eyes took few steps to leave the hermitage himself but he still didn't let a voice leak out of his throat fearing he would start to cry loudly hence disturbing the meditation of three revered sages. He was ashamed that he has wasted the opportunity given by his celestial father. He has taken his five steps then suddenly heard.

“Where are you going.” Karna recognised the voice it was of Bhagwan Parshuram. He turned around to see three of them were still sitting there but has their eyes open. In truth this was another test of Karna. After Suryadev left the three sages sat cross legged and closed their eyes and use their divine power to observe Karna. Seeing his continuous struggle they can see his mentality. This test was special it test awareness, physical strength, endurance, agility, reflexes, alertness, observations, focus patience but most of it it test the mental strength and stability of someone. Karna has shown his physical prowess till a little before he caught the stone but it is when he let his inhibitions go and became complete still they saw his mental prowess. Truth they were disappointed seeing him chasing the stone, they thought he would not pass test but once again he shocked them when he let go of eagerness to prove himself and became completely focus that too with such little time. They saw him catching the stone, they were impressed but decided to test his character before accepting him as student.  So they deliberately didn't open their eyes, they want to see if he would disturb them to show that he has caught the stone. In that brief moment they saw his expressions and struggle but whe finally decided to not disturb them and leave they finally ended the test after being satisfied with what they saw so when sunrays touched them they opened their eyes.

Parshuram : I am asking where are you going.

Karna : I am leaving because I failed the test.

Parshuram : Were you unsuccessful in catching the stone.

Karna : No, I have caught it before sunrise.

Karna opened his fist and the stone flew from his hand.

Parshuram : Then how did you fail and why are you leaving.

Karna : I hadn't brought and showed it to you.

Parshuram : Why?

Karna (confused) : You were meditating and I didn't want to disturb you. My mother has told me never to disturb anyone when they are meditating or doing prayer.

Parshuram (smiled) : Your mother has taught you well but why are you leaving I have told you to catch it before sunrise not to show the stone me before sunrise.
