As soon as we reached Santa Monica, we decided to eat lunch first at some restaurant next to Santa Monica. Russ and Brent are sitting side by side right now.
They're actually close because they work at the same company. I also notice Gigi now that she's looking at me carefully to check if i'm okay.
After we ate, I pulled Russ because there was a wishing well here that we always go to while Gigi and Brent were the first to go inside of the theme park.
"Oh, three wishes, Russ." I said as I handed him the three coins I had taken from my wallet earlier. He looked at me carefully before saying his wish.
"First, contentment and peace of mind for you and I." I was surprised at his first request so I couldn't help but look back at him. I didn't expect him to say it out loud.
"Second, I wish for everything to be in their right place. And finally, I wish for my Kendall's happiness no matter what happens and no matter where it goes." He finally said and I felt myself tear up.
I don't know where I'm crying. Was it the regret for the lost time? The chances we did not take? The regret of stepping back when we could've moved forward?
When I felt the tears dripping from my eyes, I wrapped my left arm around russ's waist and soon, I also felt his arm on my shoulder. We stayed in that position as I said my own wishes.
"First, I wish for my family to get the happiness they all deserve. I wish for everyone's forgiveness. And last, I wish Russ would look at the cloud when he misses me. I want him to look up every time he misses me." Russ looked at me with a furrowed eyebrow. Confusion was evident on his face but I just smiled at him and then pulled him to the theme park.
