"Peace. This is your peace, hmm? That's why you wanted to go here." Russ said beside me when we reached the top.
"It calms my heart." I answered
"Russ, mom and dad's anniversary's next week. You go. Then we're done if you go. They'd want you there." I pleased Russ. I don't want them to lose connection with each other especially because I know how important my family is to Russ.
"Hmm, I'll see you there." I just nodded at what Russ said even though I knew it was impossible. even though I knew I couldn't.
"Are you okay? You look pale." He asked and I just forced him to nod and smile to assure him that I was fine.
We just sat there and we were just looking at the sky. It gets peaceful. Calms the mind, the heart. I looked at Russ beside me and silently thanked God for making me live my life beside him.
