The next day, the alarm goes off and Phil got up and stretches and took a shower and put his uniform on. In the cafeteria they were serving pancakes and sausage today and Phil sees Rick and his friends being assholes to some of the new recruits. Phil looked away and grabs a tray and sits down at an empty table.
Just then a 5-year-old child came in and got in line. The child's name is Winston, he is the youngest of the whole base and very shy. The reason Winston was drafted to Xena is that his parents died by a car accident and the government decided to take him in and sent him to Xena. As Winston grabs his tray, he decided to sit with Phil since there were empty seats there. As he sat down, Phil noticed him and said hi to him.
"Sup bud." Phil greeted.
"Hey." Winston replied
"I'm Phil what's your name kid?"
"I'm Winston."
"Nice to meet you. You a new recruit as well?" Phil asked.
"Yes, just came here this morning. I have interest about this planet and I wish I can meet the tribe but I noticed that we are in a fenced in base." Winston explains.
"Yeah, because it's for safe reasons since there is still some peace agreements to work out with." Phil says.
"Oh. I just wish to meet the tribe someday." Winston says.
"Don't worry you will." Phil says.
After breakfast, they both were assigned to do some mining work for some prox minerals. Winston has trouble since the pickaxe was heavy for him but Phil helps him out. Just then Rick and his friends came in laughing and picking on some of the recruits. Phil and Winston started working harder to avoid Ricks attention. Just then, Winston accidently lost his balance and knocked over a cart of minerals. Rick noticed and shouted, "What's going on here?!"
"Nothing. It was just an accident." Phil says.
"I don't tolerate accidents. So, you two dumbasses pick this shit up before I get back, and any more slip ups, I'll destroy you." Rick says as he left.
"What a prick." Phil quietly says.
"What does prick mean? Winston asked.
"Heh. You don't want to know."
Later...
After finishing up the job for day. Phil and Winston went to hang at outside for a bit to avoid Rick and see if there is any Foxes to meet but there aren't any.
"Hmm. well, it's already night time already. Phil says.
"I bet they are sleeping at their village right now." Winston says.
"Well, we better head back inside the base."
What they didn't know a female fox was watching them and hearing their conversation

As They headed back, Rick and his friends purposely tripped Phil and his friends laughed at him.
"What's your problem?" Winston asked.
Then, One of Rick's friends grabbed Winston by shirt and slammed him on the wall.
"Watch your tone kid! You don't know who are you talking to!!! And I hope you guys can last on the dig site tomorrow you dumb retards!" Rick shouted.
Him and his friends then walked away. Winston helped Phil up and they both went to their rooms and headed for bed to get some sleep but Phil is starting to get frustrated with Rick that he wants to fight him later no matter the ranks.
