Project Shadow : The True Me

Chapter two: A New Day

As I sat at the cave entrance thinking about the events from the night..I managed to get a good view of the sunrise. The sun poked its head out over the tree tops and brought light to a world that was once consumed by the dark.

"Hmm..." I said as i stared off into it. I didnt like much in this world.

Sunrises and sunsets however, i didnt mind as much. They are among the few things that calm my nerves slightly.

I looked at my watch and it read 07:45.

"Lets get this day over with.." I though to myself.

I got up and began my decent down the cliff side. I could have teleported to the ground like I did to get up here in the first place, but I also like to see if my reflexes still serve me well.

As I reached the bottom of it, I looked back up and only muttered a slight chuckle.

" not even a challenge..." I said to myself as I began my walk through the woods.

While on my walk, I decided I would...entertain myself, by tossing a chaos emerald up and down and catching it without looking. This activity served me well for only a matter of minutes before I grew tired of it, and I put the emerald back, and continued walking.

I was enjoying the peaceful walk for what seemed like hours before a voice calling me, rang throughout the trees.

"Shadow!" it said,

as I stoped and my ears perked, trying to locate the direction and identify the voice. I must have stood still for at least five minutes or so before being unsuccessful at identification and location. I frowned and continued my walk.

"Who...who's voice was that...and..why couldnt I find them..am..am I hearing things?" I thought to myself as I reached a large tree which took me by surprise.

I simply stared up at it, trying to see the top but couldn't. Its limbs were lush with leaves and the smell of it was drowning out the rest of the surrounding area.

The spring breeze carried its scent throughout the woods for all to enjoy it. I never understood things like this..this place..this tree...its so peaceful...and yet, people just ignore it or think nothing of it..

I snapped back into reality and continued my walk through the woods and felt the warm breeze brush through my quills. It was another day in paradise, as some would say.. Not me..today is just another day alone.. Another day by my--

"Shadowww" there it was again!

The voice...I know that voice...Again my ears perked..this time I had the direction and I heard movement in it. I turned and faced the direction and began to walk in it.
The more I walked the more my head started to feel strange. I started getting this..uneasy feeling, as if I was about to encounter something..horrible. It didnt matter. I pressed on, searching for what seemed like hours.

"Shhaaadooowww!" it called out again. Not in a panicked voice..but in a soothing one.

I reached the entrance of what looked to be an old GUN bunker. It looked completely run down, abandoned and forgotten in time.

"This cant be where it came from..damn.."
I said softly to myself.

When all of a sudden, the door cracked open. I instantly jumped back and readied myself for a fight.

"Robotnik?! Metal sonic,?! Or even better..the faker himself?!" i thought to myself as i explored the options of who i would face, but to my surprise..nothing.. I looked at the door expecting something to jump out...yet nothing ever did.

I felt the cool air from the u underground blow by me and with it, it brought the stale smell of dust. My interest was peaked by this event and i decided to investigate it further.

As i approached the door it called out again..

"Shaadooww" it said soothingly

"Damnit...who is calling my name?" i said softly to myself as i entered the door.

"I will find you" i spoke softly.

I proceeded further down into it...

What I would find...I wasn't sure but I had to know...
