Maria....no.....MARRIIAA!!!!
The sound of the gunshot awakens me and the last visual I am left with before being startled awake again, is her blood spraying my pod...The memories will never fade....no matter how much time passes... No matter how much happens in between the events of then...and now...
"Damnit..." as i sit there and place my hands on my head. I looked at my watch and it read 03:25. I sigh and accept that i will no longer be getting rest for the night...again.
"Im so sorry maria.." I said while fighting back the tears.
"I miss you so much.." I got up and walked to the entrance of the cave that i decided to make my home for the night, and looked up to the moon that was still in its waxing crescent faze.
" Hmm..."
The night was clear yet again, and the stars were so plentiful that it would take one person almost a lifetime to count them all. I simply stared up into them brushing off any thought of what just happened.
"I will not be bested by visions" i said as i clenched a fist.
"This will end....one day.. I know it.." i lowered my fist a stared into the sky until the sun had risen to start the day. I left the cave and swore to myself that i would find a way to win this war in my head..
Even though i knew the war in the mind..had only just begun..
(Depending on feedback, I will continue or discontinue the story.... Let me know what you guys think...)
