Healing Beneath The Moonlight

Chapter XVI; Conflicts and Flowers.

Since me and Kunikida-san tried learning Ikebana yesterday, we went outta of the nearest flower shop today. "Kunikida-san!! Are you ready yet?" I knocked on his door. "Almost! I can't find my scarf! Ryu can you help me look through them?" I came in his room and holy shit turns out he got loads of scarf. "Kunikida-san.. Which scarf do you normally wear.. There's a lot" I asked while looking through his scarf collection. "I wore the maroon one the most.. That's a gift from my grandmother before she passed away" He spoke as he got pretty frustrated. "Calm down Kunikida-san, let's go through them again. You might've missed it" I pat his back and he nodded. "Alright. Let's do that. Sorry for dragging you in here Ryu" He apologises but I don't see anything wrong with it. "It's okay, you do need help anyways" I chuckled as we rearrange his scarfs. "Alright that must be all.. But where is the maroon scarf.." He still can't find it. "Wait.. Does it have patterns on it..?" I asked and he turned his head to face me. "Yes, the one with flower patterns, mostly rose" He describes the scarf and I took off the scarf that I was wearing. "Could it be this one..?" I showed him the scarf and his eyes glimmers and he took it from my hands. "It indeed is.. But.. Why did you have it?" He's so confused. "You left it in my room and since I have similar scarf so I thought it's mine.. I'm sorry" I apologized and he sighed in relief. "It's okay, I didn't even remember leaving this scarf at your room. You have a similar one right? What colour was yours? Or what pattern does it have?" He asked again. "The colour is the same, maroon. The patterns was sakura flowers combined with a hint of rose petals" I recalled on what my own scarf looks like.

"It's also given by my grandmother before she passed away too.." I sighed as he nodded. "Alright then, let's not head to the sad bits am I right? We're here to try the Ikebana we learnt yesterday. Let's go before it starts getting cold" He smiled and I agreed. It's Autumn and it can get quite chilly outside. We went out and we passed through students and they all were admiring our student-teacher relationship. "Ryu! You have good chemistry with your art teacher don't you? I'm so jealous" Kousuke chirped in suddenly and Kunikida-san walked towards me and stands in front of me. "Eh? Kunikida-san, what are you doing? Do you have something going on towards Ryu?" Kousuke blurted out making Kunikida-san blush with his statement. "Oya? You're blushing" Kousuke smirked and we didn't say anything. "Kousuke can you leave us alone? We have matters to attend to. You also have classes. Go" I spoke and he seemed surprised by my behaviour. "Aiya.. Ryu.. What's gotten into you? Is it because you noticed on how Daichi has been loving me more than you?" I can sense the smug tone of his.

"I know that and I'm not jealous by one bit. I heard what you said when you came to me that day and I know that compliment you gave me at Halloween was half hearted" I called out Kousuke in front of other students and some teachers that are walking. "W-what are you talking about?" He tried to deny the fact itself. "What do you mean 'what am I talking about'? I heard what you said back then. 'If only I could confess first'. Am I right or am I right?" He was speechless by this point. "But I really love you too Ryu! Did you forget that I kissed you in the middle of the ballroom at Halloween?" He's still trying. "That's because you're drunk. In these past few months you've been shooting me glares if I get close to Daichi. You would pull off a stoic and jealous expression whenever I get along with him even though he's my partner and you budged in. I know you're the type of guy who wouldn't want to share your significant other with another guy. That's why I'm going to end our relationship here"

"But I love you!" -K

"So?" -R

"Please" -K

"Let me go." -R

"Let me go Kousuke. I'm not going to stay in a soon to be toxic relationship. Go and have fun with Daichi. He never really cared about me since I've taken this break. Go with him. Live a happy life with him" I turned around and I holds Kunikida-san hand and we went out. We passed the flower shop. I stopped at a park that is covered by falling leaves and blooming sakura flowers.
