Chapter IX; The obssesed.

Ryu's POV

"Ryu!" I heard Hanako called my name. "What is it Hanako?" I asked her and she took me to the rooftop. "Come here, I want to talk to you since we didn't get enough time to talk to each other" She spoke while going to the rooftop. "Okay.. I hope it's nothing weird tho..." I mumbled to myself. After a while we reached the rooftop and it was empty. Huh.. that's weird... I thought to myself. "The rooftop is surprisingly empty these days.. what happened?" I asked Hanako and she shrugged. "I don't know. It's like something bad had happened here" Hanako spoke and then sat down on the bench so I did the same.

"Say Ryu.. you said you had trouble speaking right? Do you perhaps want to tell the story behind that? If you're comfortable of course. Perhaps I can help even if it's only a small amount of help coming from me" Hanako spoke with a smile plastered on her face. "Of course, I don't mind sharing my past to the person I trust" I spoke and Hanako nodded.

"So it all started when I was 5 years old..." I spoke trying to not make Hanako worry about my trembling hands because I've never told my past to anyone other than Kunikida-sensei. Daichi is still busy so I can let that go.

I'll be telling Ryu's past on his trouble on speaking on Author's POV.

It all started when Ryu was 5 years old. He was at kindergarten. Kindergarten years was okay for him but he didn't speak at all. His teacher ever asked his parents on why Ryu won't speak and his parents also don't know. So his parents decided to bring him to a hospital to get checked up. They're going to go to the hospital at Saturday so it wouldn't crash with Ryu's school schedule.

Ryu was also confused on why can't he speak. He tried his best but his voice just won't come out from his throat. It's like something is blocking his voice to come out. His parents is also worried about their son. Well. I said his parents but it was actually his mum who was concerned about Ryu. His father... Let's just say he didn't want Ryu. "How are we going to tell the doctor about his condition?" Ryu's mum spoke to his father. "I don't know? Tell them he's mute and if there's anything we- I mean you can do" His father spoke as he shrugged leaving his mum sigh in frustration. "Do you really hate our son?" His mum asked her partner but didn't get any response. "..whatever." She sighed in defeat as she contacted the hospital.

Saturday morning.

"Ryu dear, wake up.. it's morning already. It's time to go to the hospital to find out what's wrong with your voice" His mum spoke as she softly picked up sleepy Ryu. "Aww how cute you are.. come let's get you washed up and let's eat breakfast then go to the hospital" She spoke softly making Ryu smile and got up and his mum picked him up and went to help him bathe. Once she's done bathing Ryu and chose the outfit for Ryu today, they went down to eat breakfast. They ate the breakfast and went to go to the hospital to get Ryu checked up.

When they arrived at the hospital, they went straight to the doctor that told them to meet him. "Doctor.. Matsumura. Yes, here" His mum mumbled as she picked up Ryu and his father scoffed. "Good morning, Doctor Matsumura. We're here to ask about our son's condition" Ryu's mum.. We'll call her Ichiyo. Ichiyo told Doctor Matsumura and he nodded. "Do you have any suspicion on why he can't speak?" Doctor Matsumura asked to make sure that they really don't know about what's wrong with their son's vocals. "I don-" Ichiyo got interuppted by Ryu's father, we'll call him Tanaka. Ichiyo was interrupted by Tanaka. "He's probably mute." Tanaka spoke arrogantly making Doctor Matsumura grow suspicious. "I'm going to have to check his vocals first. Kamitani, can you say 'hello'?" Doctor Matsumura spoke softly knowing that Ryu looked uncomfortable with strangers. Ryu tried his best to speak but his vocals won't come out. They can only hear whispers and whispered words coming from Ryu. "Seems like something is wrong with his vocal cords. I'm going to bring him to other doctors that are good with this problem" Doctor Matsumura then excuse himself to go out and make a call. Once he's done, he told them to wait until the other doctor came. "Ah he's here" Doctor Matsumura called out and they all turned around. "Osamu-san, nice to meet you. We have some problem here" Doctor Matsumura spoke. "Aww look at this handsome young boy.. what happened to your vocals little one?" Osamu-san spoke softly while taking Ryu's little hand. Ryu shook his head in confusion.
