Young Asteria sat on her knees next to her dead mother and father, the sounds of screams and shouts filled her ears, the smell of fire, death, blood filled her airways blood covered her fingers soon being diluted by the tears falling from her eyes. "Hello young one." A deep voice came from in front Asteria she sniffled and she looked up...a tall figure one side of his face was botched his eyes heterochromia, Asteria gasped and held her mothers hand tighter "I'm not going to hurt you little one." He kneeled down in front of her and he looked down on her dead parents "What's your name?" He asked Asteria looked away and shook her head "Let me help you." He spoke "I'm Silco." Asteria looked up at him and she sniffled "I-I'm A-Asteria." "Well Asteria...I'm going to take good care of you."

"Hey Sugar." Jinx's voice rang through the room causing me to squint and shake my head "You zoning out there." She spoke causing me to look at the deep depth below me and I lifted my whole body up and I looked at her "Yeah sorry." I sighed standing up walking over to her desk "Well let me restart sugar pie...should I add pink or no?" She asked looking up at me with her goggles on and holding up a paint brush. "Yeah." I spoke looking away and taking in a deep breath. "What's going on in that wagon of yours?" She asked slipping her goggles off "Thinking." I spoke crossing my arms and leaning on her table "About your dead parents?" She asked and my head snapped at her "Brutal." I rolled my eyes at her and scoffed "Yes that me brutal Jinx." She spoke jumping up and grabbing my hand "Come on! wake up Asteria." She cheered pulling me over to the ledge and leaning me over and I held my breath "Jinx." I warned as I was leaning over the ledge only holding her hand "I'm not gonna let you fall sugar cube." She winked at me and I rolled my eyes. "Girls?" Silco's voice echoed through the room and Jinx pulled me back up and stared at him "Don't kill Asteria." He groaned rubbing his face "I'm trying to cheer her up." Jinx spoke towering over me shaking my shoulders. "By almost killing me?" I asked looking up at her 5'8 tall ass, "It's the adrenaline rush toots" She clicked her tongue at me and I rolled my eyes at her "Shes cute" I lightly shook my head and I blocked out that thought Jinx was my best friend like my sister...was she? "Listen I need you two to run a few errands for me." Silco spoke I crossed my arms and I looked at him "Ooo what's that?" Jinx asked walking over to him. "Here." He handed Jinx a list and she trotted over to me and held it so I could see as well. "Rope, Gas... "Silco what the hell are you making?" I asked looking up at "Ive been having rat problems." He spoke...he was being serious Jinx and I looked at each other "Just stab them." Jinx and I spoke at the same time and I chuckled "I guess...wait no get that stuff." "Fine fine old man." Jinx spoke walking past him and I followed her "We'll be back." I spoke walking close behind Jinx. God I hated being 5'0 even though she's only eight inches taller then me it makes me feel dominated over, I couldn't stand being short. "We should stop at a club shorty." And there's the nickname. "Stop calling me that..and Silco would kill us." "Shhh he doesn't have to know...you're too much of a good girl." She spoke emphasizing 'good girl' and winking at me "good girl?" I felt my face flush and I looked away. "You'll kill anyone who gets in your way...but when it's time to party? come on  sugar tits." She spoke looking down at me fluffing my hair "Fine." I groaned crossing my arms. She chuckled and I smiled at her.

We both stood outside of the club, the sound of the music pounding filled my ears the smell of alcohol and smoke filled my senses. "Killer." Jinx spoke her eyes glowed from the sign it gave her life and I mentally drooled, "Shit stop it Asteria...get your ass together." "Well come on!" Jinx spoke grabbing my hand and pulling me in the building 'Dirty little animals.' blasted through the building and the lights filled my eyes I sighed and I uncrossed my arms and loosened up "Ohhh Chad!" Jinx cooed walking over to the bar "Chad...is not my name." The brunette mentally grimaced at the name "Get me and my sexy friend here a drink." "S-sexy?" I asked looking up at her as I sat on the bar stool "Very sugar cube." She winked at me and I felt my face go flushed, thank god the lights blocked it out. I sighed and I pulled out my vape I took a big inhale and I let it flow from my nose. I could see Jinx staring at me in the corner of my eye as I let my eyes roam across the room bodies pressed against each other sweat and the smell of sex filled the area "Here you ladies go." The bartender spoke "Thank you." I smiled grabbing my glass and taking the shot "Damn." Jinx spoke looking at me "What? it's been a second since we've drank." I shrugged taking a another inhale of my vape and blowing it in her direction. "Let's dance." Jinx spoke jumping up taking her shot and grabbing my arm "Uhh Jinx I don't dance." I groaned as she pulled me through the ocean of people "Yes you do." She giggled grabbing my waist and I mentally nose bled.. she towered over me and I swallowed deeply "Dance sugar." She smiled swaying her hips holding my hand "Here." She added she stood behind me and she grabbed my hips "shit." "Move with me." She whispered in my ear and I sucked in a breath. I knew she liked me it was obvious and I liked her...I tried to deny it since we grew up together and Silco is basically our dad. I felt her hips sway behind me and my hips followed, it was a medium paced song so it was a slow sway. I felt my face burning up I felt her fingers run over my left wrist and I gasped lightly "Sensitive eh?" and I bit my lip and looked down I heard her smirk and I rolled my eyes. Her fingers traced up my arm over my tattoo making my jolt and have goosebumps. "Mmm so easy....now let's go get Silcos things." I felt her warmth leave my body and I mentally cussed her out "Tease." I mumbled to myself as she walked off I did an inhale of my vape and I slowly followed behind her.

"What took you two so long...y'all smell of retched sex and drinks." Silco spoke sitting at his desk "Maybe that's what we did." Jinx giggled evilly and I elbowed her waist and she glared at me "She's kidding." I spoke looking at Silco and he rolled his eyes. "You two need to be carful going out alone especially at clubs." Silco spoke staring out his window "We know." We said in unison "Good y'all are done here, Dinner is ready with Sevica for dinner ready down stairs go get it." Silco spoke and I nodded "Yes sir." I spoke and Jinx groan "Sevica? it's probably gonna be raw." She groaned turning away and walking to the door waiting for me "Be nice JJ." I spoke looking up at her "Whatever." She groaned and I rolled my eyes and I followed behind her, Jinx disliked Sevica with a burning passion, I didn't care about her besides the fact she puts food on our table every day. "It's probably gonna be old and raw." Jinx shivered and rolled her eyes "Jinx it's better then nothing." I spoke looking up at her and she looked back down at me "Why you like her anyway shorty?" She asked leaning her arm on my head and I groaned "I don't, but she puts food on our table, I can't complain about that." I spoke and Jinx shrugged "True...I still don't like her." She spoke blowing the hair from her face and I shook my head to get her arm off. "Awe feel submissive when I do that shorty?" She asked getting close to my face "N-no." She spoke with sarcasm opening the dinner door for me "Thanks." I smiled walking in her following behind me. It smelt good and I drooled at the smell "Hey Savica." I smiled and she nodded at me "What you got for us?" Jinx asked jumping down on the chair and I sat down next to her "Just a simple dinner nothing fancy." Savica spoke placing the trey on the table "Holy shit Sav...this looks
good." I spoke staring at the food. It was a big ham with vegetables and a salad. "Thank you." She smiled "ha i was her favorite." "Yeah thanks." Jinx spoke licking her lips and grabbing a carrot.
I sat there staring at the empty plates and I rubbed my stomach "God, that was so good." Jinx groaned hanging upside down from her chai, I leaned down in my chair and I sighed "Very." I looked over at her and she was staring at me "L-let's get back, I need a shower stat." I spoke with a rushed tone jumping up and grabbing my gun "Let's go sugar pie." Jinx ran on the table and did a cart wheel off "Don't hurt yourself JJ." I spoke looking back at her. "Ahhh enjoy the adrenaline." She giggled rushing up behind me.

I stood under the hot water that cascaded down my body, I started at the ground at my feet and I let out a sigh the hot water felt good on my aching bones, the muscles, everything. I ran my fingers through my hair and I tossed my head back letting the water cover it, this is such an eventful life.
