The doctor came back to check on Asteria and he said she looked a little better and her heart rate is finally high. "Your heart seems to be stabilizing again which is what we want, so since I last saw you have you eaten anything?" He asked I stood at the end of the bed look down on my girlfriend and she nodded "Jinx's been giving me bread with butter, it's dull but it's food." She spoke fidgeting with her fingers "So bread and butter, that's good actually, still continuing the soups?" He asked me "Yes I've gotten her to try others." I spoke crossing my arms blowing the hair from my face. "I'm liking her progress if I'm being honest, has she been sleeping?" He asked me "Slowly, it takes her a while to sleep and when she does she's out for no more then five hours." I spoke, for some reason her nightmare aren't as bad anymore, why? I have no idea.
"This is good really good." I looked over at the fluids and I raised an eyebrow "What exactly is in it?" I asked and he looked up at me and nervously chuckled "Shimmer." I jumped at him and punched him "YOU INJECTING SHIMMER IN HER?" Silco yelled "It's helping her isn't it! look at her with out that she would be dead." I twitched my head I pulled out my gun and held it to his head "Stop." Asterias voice spoke "He's trying to kill you!" I yelled looking back at her and she sighed "I would die without it." And I blinked looking down at him I sighed and I pulled my gun back and I slapped him in the face and I walked over next to her. "You are doing a dangerous act! I would never inject my daughters with it!" Silco spoke grabbing his collar "Silco stop." Asteria spoke "Think without it I'd be dead, am I happy? no but is it saving my life? yes." She spoke and I sat next to her and she laid her head in my shoulder. "Come back in a week." Silco growled at the doctor and he quickly nodded and ran out. "I promised you girls both I would never have that injected in you." Silco spoke walking over to us "Yeah I'm pissed, but Asteria is right she'd be gone if she hadn't." I spoke rubbing her arm "And I do feel better." She spoke laying her hand on my knee playing with my pants string. Silco stood up and walked out mad I could tell but we didn't care. "Do you feel..different?" I asked looking at her and she shook her head no "I feel a little better." She said looking up at me and I nodded.

•asterias POV•

I laid up under the covers curled up to my pillow while Jinx was out in her workshop, I could hear her music blasting and I rolled my eyes I slowly sat up and I sighed I slowly stood up and grabbed my IV pole and rolled it on its wheels I walked over to the mirror and I sighed I stood here in a over sized white tshirt and slippers. I examined my face and my eye bags were bad my collar bone was sticking out my body was bruising it self, I lifted my shirt and I let out a shaky sigh my pelvic bones showed through my underwear and my ribs were very noticeable. I ran my hand on my stomach and it growled. "What you doing up sugar?" I heard Jinx behind me and I looked down... "I'm ugly now you don't want me." "Sugar I do, I don't care what size you are I'm going to do anything for you I'm going to spoil you and take care of you." She spoke walking up behind me and wrapping her arms around me, I lifted my non IV hand and held her hand. "You're absolutely beautiful no matter what." She spoke kissing my cheek and I sighed "Thank you for taking care of me." I spoke and she smiled "Anytime toots." She smirked and I rolled my eyes, "You feel like walking up to my workshop today? maybe a little farther?" She asked and I slowly nodded "Let's try." I spoke and she bounced on her toes "Yay." She helped me slip on a sweater and socks and slippers she slipped the IV tub through my sweater arm and hooked it back on the hook. "Alright sugar let's go." She spoke holding my hand and opening the door more, she let me walk first and I walked down the step and she helped me "There ya go princess good job." She praised me and I smiled. We walked along the ledge and I looked down off the edge and I sighed she sat me down her stool and I took in a deep breath, "There you go girly." She smiled sitting on her table. The door cracked and we looked up seeing Silco "How are you feeling?" He asked walking to you "A little better." I weakling smiled messing with my IV tape "She said she's gonna try and walk more." Jinx spoke bouncing on her toes, "Good, because I have you too going on a mission soon and I need her well healed for this one." Silco smiled and I looked up at him "Really?" Jinx and I spoke in unison."It's in a few months." He spoke crossing his arms "Nice." I smiled "Well come on." Silco motioned for me to walk and I did I slowly got up with Jinx's help and I looked up at her "Thanks babe." She smiled and kissed my head "Anytime"

I stood in front of Silcos office door and I was tired "You're doing great." Jinx said holding my IV arm and I smiled breathing heavily. Silco opened the door and we walked in and Marcus was in there, "Who let you in my office?" Silco asked standing in front of us and Jinx helped me in to the couch and sit me down I breathed heavily and I rubbed my head "You did amazing." She kissed my head and stood up and walked over to the guys and I crossed my legs and I grabbed a pillow and leaned on it. "You're not supposed to be here without my permission." Silco snapped at him and Jinx sat on his desk "What happened to her?" He asked pointing at me and I flicked him off "That's non of you concern." Jinx growled at him "Scared I'm going to offend your little girlfriend." He tried to be slick "Actually she is my girlfriend you intolerant shit." She spoke crossing her legs and he looked away "I have a message from the council they are dying to know who these two are." He pointed at us I groaned and I held my stomach as it growled "You alright?" Silco asked and I nodded "I'm hungry." I spoke and Jinx smiled "I got you toots I'll be right back." She skipped out the room slamming the door "Ok well they aren't touching them." Silco spoke sitting in his chair I watched their convo from afar, my eyes went heavy and I laid down and I curled up.

•jinx's POV•
I skipped down the hall with a bowl of soup and bread, I opened Silcos door seeing Marcus still in here I looked over seeing Asteria sound asleep "Finally." I spoke walking over placing the food on the table and sitting on the one spot on the couch rubbing her arm, she looked peaceful. I ran my fingers through her hair and I sighed "She's looking frail, they are gonna take her first and eat her up." I heard Marcus and I shot up "Wanna repeat that?" I growled and glared at me "No one is putting there hands on her." I growled holding up my hand into a finger gun motion and I chuckled "If you do...I'll kill you...pow." I giggled walking off back to Asteria. She made a grimaced face and she shook for a second and I rubbed her arm and she softened her look and relaxed. "Leave my office now, and don't ever threaten her again." Silco growled making Marcus scoff and walk out slamming the door making Asteria jump "Sh sh you're ok." "What was that?" She groaned laying on her back and looking at me "Marcus being a party pooper." I giggled rubbing her chin. "You need to get her back to your rooms." Silco spoke "Why?" "Enforcements will be here soon." He spoke and I nodded "Let's go babe." I spoke helping her up and she shivered and I wrapped my arm around her, "Listen girls." Silco spoke and we turned around "You two mean everything to me." He sighed and turned around in his chair Asteria looked up at me and I shrugged. "Now.. let's get you ready."
