LAUREN

i was walking along a corridor to get the Ashton's classroom at 4am. I turned a corner and slammed into someone walking the opposite way. I fell to the floor.

It was Jack. He was the quiet emo kid who sat at the back of my english class. He said, "Oh God, I'm so sorry." He held out a hand and I gladly took it.

I brushed myself off and said, "Sorry about that. I shouldn't be speeding down corridors like that."

"Where are you off to?" He asked. He was different. Secretly, he intrigued me greatly. He had long black hair; messy but styled if you get me. He had piercing blue eyes that made you melt.

I stalled, "uhh. . . I could ask you the same question. I mean, it is 4am."

"Too bad I asked you first Miss Deyes," he smirked.

"It's Lauren. . . Not like you don't know that," I said. "I guess you win then. I'm going to the bathroom. Where are you off to?"

"Claire's room," he replied.

"Oh God, don't," I giggled, "She's a slut. You actually seem nice with the whole ten words you've spoken. don't get mixed up in the claire business."

"Ah," he said, "You're her roommate."

"Who she just politely asked to leave because she had 'another' coming as she put it," I said.

"Oh," his expression dropped and he looked at the floor.

"Go back to your friends Jack. You don't need someone like Claire," i smiled. I feel sorry for the guy; he's nice.

He shrugged, "i don't have friends."

"Then who were you meeting outside?" His eyes went wide to which I only giggled. "Oh come on, it's obvious. You're coming from that direction in which the door to the back of the school is."

He took his hand out of his hoodie pocket. In between his fingers was a joint; unlit of course.

"Oh," i said

He said, "Yeah. I don't have friends. I got out there each night. Now that i have answered your question. . . Why are you out here? I'm not believing your 'bathroom' story."

"Initially, i was supposed to be meeting up with someone but now I kind of want to smoke," i shrugged.

He chuckled, "you smoke?" I nodded to confirm. "Wow. I never thought of you in any other way apart from innocent."

I folded my arms across my chest and furrowed my eyebrows. There is one thing i hate and it's people making false accusations on me because i look "innocent". I scolded, "Well maybe you shouldn't have judged me before you got to know me."

He raised his hands in defence and said, "Okay. I believe you."

"You know what? I don't want to smoke with you anymore. Scurry back to your room now," i said.

He flipped me off, "Whatever you say . . . Queen Bee." He walked past me, knocking my shoulder slightly as he walked past.

I tutted and stormed to the girls bathroom. "Innocent," i spat under my breath as i looked at my reflection in the mirror. I pulled out my phone and saw a text from Ashton.

Ashton:
I saw you walk right past my door... Where are you headed?

I ignored the text and shoved my phone down my bra. I jogged out of the bathroom and up to the rooms. I know where Jacks room is so I went there. I knocked on the door.

A minute later the door opened to reveal Jack in just his sweats. Wow, he was more built than I thought. "Of course it's you," he sighed. "What do you want?"
