Two Months Later.
Ayat And Naeem's Wedding.
It has been two months since Maya was born, and everyone around her treated her like a princess. She has the same personality as her mother with the eyes of her father.
It was now Ayat and Naeem's wedding day as it was postponed many times due to some situations that had arisen, unfortunately.
The trial and the sentencing of Heather and Dan as one of them.
Ayat was currently sitting in Layla's old room at her parents' house. She was getting ready with the help of Layla, her aunt Jamila and her mama Nayla.
"Alright, you are all done. Such a beauty ma shaa Allah", mama Nayla praised her adorning her with a necklace that she has gifted Ayat for this day.
"Ma shaa Allah, my dear niece you look so much like your mother. She is always here with you and so is your father", her aunt tells her putting her hand over where her heart is.
"Shukran Khala for everything you have done for me. I love you and Ami very much", Ayat hugged her aunt.
"Hey no more sad moments and Ayat don't cry because I will have to do your make-up again which might take a lot of time and my dear brother will get nervous and he might think of stupid things in his stupid brain of him", Layla tells her making them laugh. "What? Don't you believe me? Hold on", she added taking her phone and then texting. She then showed Ayat a picture of Naeem sitting down and he looks nervous.
"Layla, stop making fun of your brother and help Ayat with her last-minute details and then go away", her mother tells her.
While the others were busy, Ayat was still holding onto Layla's phone looking at Naeem. She shook her head and put it on the table and then took her phone.
She sent a message to him;
Smile, Habiby. You look like a grumpy old man. I love you.
Meanwhile, Naeem was pacing around the living room trying to calm his nerves when he received a message from her.
Ayat.
The love of his life and soon to be his forever.
He smiled at the message and then took a deep breath. Jason approached him while holding baby Maya in his arms.
"Here she might help you with your nerves but be careful I just fed her so don't bounce her", Jason gave him his niece who started talking gibberish.
"I know Maya. Your father is not in his right mind. Don't worry he is still my best friend", Naeem tells her.
"Yeah right. Don't listen to him, baby girl. Your uncle here didn't have a heart until your Khala showed up in his life. So be thankful to your Khala ", Jason says to his daughter.
"Well, at least I didn't wait to be with your Khala...."
"Well, I didn't make her my fake fiancée and then made her quit her job...."
"I think I have two toddlers instead of grown men who are trying to talk to MayMay while she can't even understand what you are saying", Liam interrupts them. "Yeah, come here to your Papa", he added taking Maya in his arms.
He then walked away leaving them bickering like little kids while Liam and Kate watched them.
"Instead of growing up, they are arguing about things that don't make sense at all", Liam tells Kate who smiles.
It was almost time for the Nikkah to be done. The Kadhi told Naeem to sit down while Ayat walked down the stairs with Layla and her aunt by her side.
Ayat took a seat beside Naeem but a curtain separated them from seeing each other.
