I was waiting for almost over an hour and right now I wanted to be nowhere else than in my bed under my warm blanket.
For the last twenty minutes, I have promised to go inside a couple hunder times, but this time, I promise, is the last time. If he (or she) doesn't show up in the next five minutes I will really go inside to bed.
I decided to count down so it wouldn't be so scary or lonely out here. As in matter of fact it doesn't help the case it just makes you feel like you are just counting down your death time.
"...Twenty four..."
"...Sixteen..." I counted to myself
"Three... Two... One..." I sat up from the porch and already went to the door when I heard a strange noise. It sounded like car's engine working.I turned around but I was gripped by the waist and a hand was slit to my mouth so I wouldn't scream. They were strong hands so I suspected that it was a man Only feature that I noticed in his appearance is his light brown hair.
He pushed me into the car, sat besides me and closed the door. I tried to sit deeper into the chair and tried to keep my gaze at the seat in front of me. The car started to move. I felt the house distancing away from me. Again I was so afraid that I couldn't neither speak or move. He turned against me and said,
"Look, I know you don't want to be here as much as I do, but we need to get one thing clear. You can't tell anyone about us or your family will be dead by the morning. Are we clear?"
The letter thing had lasted almost a year and a half and I knew some of the faces in The Man's team but he was new. I looked at him closely to analyze his features and appearance. I threw him a surprised glare.
"Who are you?"
"I'm the man who showed you into a car and asked you an important question. What are you? Sick or something? Don't you know when someone asks you a question you usually answer it like normal people do. Ohh and FYI I'm not giving you my name. Now would you just answer. Are we clear?" He looked at me with an threatening glance.
By his suit I could tell he wasn't suposed to use this kind of language. He was supposed to talk all "official" like. Like he didn't have emtion. He really was new.
I could tell his suit was a little bit wrinkled from carrying me to the car. He looked at me and I saw his light green eyes. There was something strange about him.
He grabbed my wrist and turned my head so that he can see my eyes.
"Are we clear?"
"I-I-I... Yes." I stuttered.
The fear started to take over me again. My hand was numb from his strong grip. He noticed it and let it go. I rubbed my hand and turned away from him.
"What do you want from me or my family?" I said almost whispering.
He stayed quiet. I felt the tears raising up in the corners of my eyes. The car stopped. I looked outside. We were back at the house.
"If you're going to say something about this little ride of ours than count one member of your family officially gone for good."
I felt a little dizzy and confused. I was breathless and my hands noticeably shook. Somehow I manged to open the door and get out of the car. He shut the car's door shut from inside and I was left standing in the middle of the rode alone. I stood there for a couple of minutes to understand what just happened and to put all the pieces into one. I didn't know him but I could sense there was something wrong between him and The Man. Last time one of the men came to leave the message they were quiet and didn't say anything at all. This time was different and I couldn't sense either it was good or bad.
