This is a sequel to my first Outsiders Imagines. This is an entire new story with fresh new ideas, but of course, if you've got some ideas, please let me know. I'd love to incorporate them into this story!
I was sitting at our usual table for lunch. Me and my friends would all sit together and play D&D. Call us nerds, but it was so incredibly fun. In the game, I was a small ranger on a team with a buff wizard and another wizard. I was eating my pepperoni pizza when MJ, the dungeon master of our game, stood up and went to another table. "What's she doing?" Melody asked, a mouthful of pizza in her mouth. I looked back. She was walking towards a girl who was sitting by herself at a table far from the rest. MJ began talking to her. I've seen that girl every day. I knew what she did during her lunch. Mostly extra homework that she couldn't finish in class. She always had on her pale blue headphones over her light brown hair that was rather crazy. Her backpack was always on the seat beside her. It looked really heavy and I always wondered how a tiny girl could carry a bag that big. Most days she wore a denim-colored hoodie, jeans and a pair of converses. She had large glasses, which made her face cuter. Call me a stalker, because in a way, I guess I kind of was, but she's unlike any girl I've ever seen. MJ returned back to the table and I glanced over at the table with the girl. She was gathering her stuff. "What was that about?" I asked MJ as she took her seat. "That's a new friend I made. She's bringing her stuff over." "Oh that's cool." I said as calmly as I could. The girl brought over her things and sat next to MJ. She looked very nervous. "Ok, everyone," MJ said, "This is Y/N, and Y/N, this is Ponyboy, Melody, and Rachel." Y/N gave us a small wave along with a quiet "hello". "This is your free trial," I said jokingly to her, "tomorrow you'll have to pay." She smiled slightly, tucking her hair behind her ear. I've observed her long enough that I knew that was a nervous behavior. I kept looking at her and occasionally she'd catch my eyes and we'd both instantly look away. Awkward I cleared my throat, "Will you be joining us again?" She looked like she wanted to say yes. Everything about her eyes and body language said so, but she merely shrugged. That was okay though. "So let's start where we left off," MJ said, pulling out a folder from her backpack. The folder contained everything we needed for D&D including our character sheets. She also pulled out a little box where all the dice is. "Am I still drowning?" I asked, "Because if I am one of y'all better save me." Melody chuckled, "Laurie is so annoying." "Laurie is amazing!" I said, defending my character, "He is drowning but he is still awesome!" Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a little smile creep onto Y/N's face. "Let's settle this once and for all," MJ said, summoning the 20-sided dice, "This will determine if you die, or somehow make it out of the cold water." "Yes!" MJ rolled the dice and the number it landed on was a 17. "I live! I live!" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up in the air. "Noooo!" Melody complained, "I was really looking forward to completing the mission without him." "You know you love Laurie." MJ said. As much as Melody didn't want to, she admitted it. I looked over at Y/N, "would you like to join our game? MJ won't mind adding you in." Y/N looked at MJ and MJ said, "It would be fun to have you in the adventure." "I'll think about it." Y/N said. All too soon, the bell rang and we had to go back to class. Y/N was packing up her stuff and was about to leave when I said, "Will you join us again tomorrow?"
She nodded.
A/N: Hey y'all! Sorry I haven't uploaded in forever. I planned on updating tons during thanksgiving break but I was busier than I thought I was so I apologize. I hope y'all liked this imagine because it is based on a true story. This is how I met sons of my other friends. It was so much fun writing about it and reliving the experience again!
