On one of their missions, Licorice had messed up badly, which resulted in Pomegranate being completely fed up with Licorice. She saw what she thought was enough proof that Licorice shouldn't be working for Dark Enchantress. Pomegranate didn't bother to give any warning to Licorice, but went straight to Dark Enchantress herself to try and have something done. Dark Enchantress had also had it with Licorice and had made the decision that Licorice needed to be executed, and she had just the person to do it.

"Red Velvet? Your ah...mother has requested to see you in the main hall..oh and...bring your sword, she says..." Pomegranate said as she gently knocked on Red Velvet's door. Red Velvet got up rather quickly, assuming she had another task for him and the others to go do.

"I'm here, what is it you need me to do?" Red Velvet said as he finally arrived to the main hall. "Glad to see you here. I have...a certain someone I need you to get rid of. They've been causing quite a bit of trouble for us.." Dark Enchantress said, face showing absolutely no emotion. "Is it someone from...y'know..the vanilla kingdom..?" Red Velvet asked, his curiosity piquing. "Nope. Someone you know rather well. Pomegranate? Bring him out, would you?" Dark Enchantress asked. Pomegranate nodded as she went to get Licorice from a cell he had been put in. Red Velvet tightened his grip on his sword. "Licorice!" Dark Enchantress said, as she took a quick glance at Red Velvet. "N...No...." He mumbled under his breath as he felt his heart sink. Licorice's eyes widened as he made eye contact with Red Velvet. "P-Please..don't.." Licorice pleaded, trying to free himself from the restraints he was in. "Why not? I thought you didn't really like him.." Pomegranate said smugly. She knew very well of their relationship, but Dark Enchantress didn't and was oblivious to it. "I-I....I can't...." Red Velvet stuttered, feeling tears threatening to form in his eyes. "Why not, hm?" Dark Enchantress reiterated. Red Velvet dropped his sword as he fell to his knees in front of Licorice. "What did you do...???" Red Velvet asked in a very low hushed tone. "N-Nothing!! I-I...I d-didn't do a-anything" Licorice whimpered. "ShhhShhh....relax...I'll try and figure this out...okay?" Red Velvet said, pulling Licorice into a tight hug, holding him closely. Licorice broke down sobbing onto Red Velvet's shoulder. "It's alright.....there there...." Red Velvet murmured, still keeping Licorice held close. "Pomegranate, what the hell did you say to convince our Master that he needs to be executed??? Why do you hate him so much?!" Red Velvet growled, then standing up with Licorice behind him, as he glared at Pomegranate. Pomegranate would never admit it, but god, looking directly into Red Velvet's eyes when he's upset is...terrifying. "We can't afford to have pests like him messing up every other mission we do for Her, and you know that '' Pomegranate snapped back. "You need to stop defending him just because you love him" Pomegranate muttered. "Wait...he what?" "Nothing. Pomegranate's just starting shit like she always does. Saying anything under the sun to try and make a situation a thousand times worse.." Red Velvet snarled. "No no, what did you say, Pomegranate?" Dark Enchantress reiterated. "Red Velvet loves Licorice. I thought it was rather obvious they have something going on.." She said, glaring back at Red Velvet. "Mm...well this'll be much more interesting to watch.." Dark Enchantress said with a sickening smile. Red Velvet felt sick to his stomach. There's no way this was happening.

Licorice could tell Red Velvet was absolutely broken at this point. "I-I...I can't...there's no need to kill him. Just kick him out of here..that'd be easier than-" "Nope. The damage he's caused can't be undone. Now either you take care of it, or I'll have Pomegranate do it, and I know she'll take care of it with no hesitation..." Dark Enchantress muttered. Red Velvet nodded. Licorice looked up at Red Velvet, not knowing whether or not Red Velvet would actually go through with it. "Well...if that's what you want...you'll get it..but for a cost.." Red Velvet muttered under his breath, as he grabbed ahold of his sword and knelt down in front of Licorice. "Please d-don't do anything stupid....." Licorice stammered, tears welling up in his eyes again. "If you go..." Red Velvet said, then giving Licorice a quick yet passionate kiss on the lips. "Then so do I" he said as he then pulled Licorice into a tight hug with one arm, and with the other, he stabbed his sword so it not only impaled Licorice, but Red Velvet himself as well. "Fuck..! Red Velvet....you're s-so goddamn stupid....f-fuck you...you could've l-lived..." Licorice sobbed, choking on his own words. "I...agh......I don't see a point of living...i-if you're not by my side..." Red Velvet said, breath staggering. The two fell to the floor. "I...I love you, Licorice....." Red Velvet said with his final breath before he had finally passed. Licorice couldn't vocally say it, but he mouthed an "I love you too" before passed as well.
