We eventually received our meal and ate. For a fancy restaurant, Max and I went with simple choices. We did enjoy the amazing dessert we were served. The many flavors put into the desserts went so well together.
As evening set, Max and I were eventually picked up and taken home.
I actually felt like Max and I became closer because we discussed the bad things that happened between us. And the best part was, I finally remembered to give Max the plush I had mentioned when we made up on the pier.
The plush was designed close to Max's Steel suit. And when I handed it to him, he chuckled as Steel commented that it looked similar to their Max Steel form. Of course, this plush was made before Max Steel existed. But the chances that something similar existed are very slim at most.
"I had fun Max." I smiled.
The brunette grinned in response. "I'm glad. We should do something like this again. Maybe I could fly us to a secluded island and we can drink from coconuts with umbrellas." He suggested.
I playfully swatted at him. "You're such a dork. But you're my dork."
Once we bid each other goodnight, Max left and I collapsed onto my bed. I may be grinning like an idiot, but that's because I already had confirmation that Max and I were meant to be.
Third POV
A male sat on his bunk running his hand through his h/c hair and staring at a picture that had his wife and daughter.
"Sir, are you alright? You've been staring at the photo for 10 minutes, 45 seconds, and 13.5 milliseconds. I thought you were ecstatic to see your family again." A voice spoke to the man.
"I am Zeta." He sighed. "But Commander Forge informed me that Dredd is alive. And that he almost hurt my little girl."
"I'm sure Aktsteel and his new host have been protecting her." Zeta comforts.
The male gives a soft chuckle and pats the space next to him.
"You know you don't need to hide. I'm lucky my father and you were able to escape my uncle before chaos began."
"Sir, I am perfectly comfortable in the bag. Not many humans are fond of my kind. Especially when all we do is link and destroy everything in Father's path."
"When we arrive in Copper Canyon, I'm going to be handing you off to my daughter. My abilities have stabilized over the years. But she is just unlocking them. And I'm afraid that my uncle will sense her in the near future. If he finds her, he'll try to use her against us. Against Earth and planets onward."
A flipper appears in his peripheral. When the form of an ultralink flew out of the bag and onto the bed, the two beings made eye contact.
"Sir, even if I link with your daughter, I won't be able to suppress her powers for long. It took around 6 Earth months to properly adapt to your powers. But your daughter may take longer."
"You're overthinking again, Zeta. How many times have I told you that overthinking a situation gets you nowhere?" The male asked his companion.
"Many times Sir." Zeta sighed.
"Please address me as F/n. There isn't much of a point for you to call me 'Sir' when I finally explain to my family why we were always moving."
Zeta watched as F/n turned back to the photo in his hand.
"Perhaps we should go do our daily rounds before the sun rises in Los Angeles. A flight patrol usually lowers your stress levels immensely." The ultralink suggested.
A soft smile formed on his lips. He sets the photo down and stretches.
"You know me so well girl. Let's fly."

Filler chapter for now! It might be short but you all deserve something since I've been procrastinating with all of my stories just for the Dream SMP. And for my own SMP that my friend Dadbur and I stream on.
I'll be working on the next chapter that follows alongside 'Live By The Sword'. And with that out of the way, have a wonderful day/night!
