Mask

Summer the next year

I threw on a pair of white sports skirts and one of clays t-shirts and put my bow short hair into a half up half down and went downstairs to see my dad and younger brother eating breakfast

I quickly kissed my dad and younger brother on the cheek and went to put on my shoes

"No breakfast kora" I heard my dad ask from the kitchen "no I'm going to have breakfast at George's" I spoke and he made a nose of approval "ok bye I'll be back before dark" I yelled "bye Ace" Toby yelled "bye bee" I yelled back with a bit of a laugh and closed the door and stayed walked to George's house which was a completely different direction from Nick and clays

After a bit of walking, I saw an advanced looking house and ran up to it knocking on the door When I saw Sam George's dad open the door

"Oh hey Kora come on in" he stepped aside letting me in as I swiftly took off my shoes leaving them by the front door and stepped into George's house

Sam and Ponk George's Dads we're big on finding new and improved things whether it be a new Redstone contraption to a new cooking recipe which I was always willing to try because George's parents were so good at making different dishes

I walked into the dining area and sat George reading a book at the table and I went and sat next to him

"Morning Georgie" I greeted him "good morning Kora" he greeted me back a and I saw he was reading one of the books I lent him from my library "it's good innit" I smiled and George rolled his eyes at my mocking of his accent "yes but please your accent is not very good" he shook his head and Ponk brought in our food and George put the book away and we all talked and ate breakfast

Once we were finished George and I went and walked down to the treehouse and I saw Nick and a boy with a bandanna around his face we slowly walked up to them and I realized that it was clay

"Hey George hey Kora" Nick yelled and waved and I smiled and waved back

As we slowly walked up to the I walked straight up to clay and stood right in front of him

"What is that stupid looking thing on your face," I asked trying to take off the bandanna "stop don't touch it Kora" he stopped me holding my wrist "clay why are you wearing it," I asked "ya clay" Nick mocked and clay gave him a glare  "the scars finally healed" he mumbled "great," I said and swiftly took the bandanna off and saw tons of scars on his face "holy shit clay" I heard Nick mumble "shut up Nick" clay hissed and ripped the bandanna out off my hand and climbed up the to the treehouse and I followed

"What's up," I asked and he turned to me with tears him his eyes "why do these things always happen to me these scars won't go away I scrub and they stay they just look so bad Kora they won't go away" he went on and I pulled him into a hug and I let him cry into my shoulder

We still like each other in that way he's like a whole another world to me I hate to see him cry but we always don't get what we want right

Christmas the same year

I finished curling my hair and threw my white cardigan on over my red dress and threw my camera around my neck and walked downstairs to see will in nice pants a button up and a sweater vest overtop and I saw Toby and Tom in matching sweaters I made them with plain black pants as for Phil and dad they were both wearing suits Phil's a forest green and dad a red one with his fur cape crown and his mask when I saw this I went and put on mine as well

I held tommy and Tubbo's hand and we all walked down to George's house and knocked on the door and was greeted with everyone having a nice time a Christmas party the two younger boys ran off the find there new friend purpled and I said goodbye to my dad and phill and ran as fast as I could to the tree house and climbed up the ladder to the the three boys sitting talking

George wore nice plain black pants with a blue button up Nick wearing the same but in white and Clay wore a green pants and a White button up with a matching green face cover

"Took you long enough" nick rolled his eyes playfully as I got out there presents and they did the same and I sat in my chair "who wants to go first" clay asked "I want to go lady mine are really special" I told them and they all nodded "I guess I'll go first sorry if there not the right colour" George smiled and handed us boxes

George got Nick a new flame t-shirt Clay a new wooden sword a me a framed photo with all three of us in it we all thanked George and Nick went next

Nick got George a polkadot cape with a  mushroom like colours Clay a armour and me a cool matching cape but I instead of red and white it was black and white we all thanked Nick as well and Clay went next

Clay got George a new set of some kind of playing chips Nick a new set of boots and me a sliver bracelet with all there names on it

Next it was my turn it was for sure nerve-wracking I've had these presents for years I just have always forgotten them so I went and gave the first one to Nick It was a panda plushy and the bandanna

"Woah thanks Kora it's so cool" he exclaimed in his high pitched voice he did so often

I gave George his next and his was a new blue t-shirt with a red and white symbol in the middle

He opened his and he instantly smiled putting on the glasses it was a real joy

And lastly Clay

I had put in his box his smile mask he asked for ever so long ago and a bow which I tend to teach him how to shoot

When he opened it his eyes instantly opened in shock and quickly put the smiley face mask on and turned to look at all of us

"I can't believe you remembered and a bow" he said excited and I smiled

Once we were all done putting things on and thanking each other we sat down and just started having a conversation

"You know with these new cool outfits we should make new cool names" Nick suggest and we all nodded in an agreement "I like my name I wanna stay George" George explained "what if we just shortened your name tho George" clay spoke and George looked interested "Gogs" I blurted out "yes gogs is good because George had goggles now it makes sense" Nick shout laughed, "I think Pandas is a cool name for Nick because he likes Pandas" clay suggested "what about pandas but like spelt different" I added "Sapnap," George said "it's like Pandas but spelt different" George explained and we all nodded in agreement "kore is another name for Persephone" clay added and I smiled and nodded thinking the name of a Goddess was cool a

When I thought of Clay all I could think about were those stars so long ago we gazed under and thinking of how there were no nightmares that night no voices it was like a

"Dream" I yelled "Clay should be Dream" the others didn't think about it but they agreed and so did Clay

The rest of the night was spent chatting and laughing until I heard my name being screamed and I looked out the window to see Toby and Tommy running hand and hand towards the treehouse and I saw Toby's stained cheeks that I assumed to be drying tears
