Avery Parker

78 Journey Lane

Wells Louisiana, 08645

I write on the top left corner of a crisp, beige envelope. On the opposite side, the right upper corner a stamp of a sunflower sits, my trademark stamp.

Theo Jones

Cell 515, Jefferson Juvenal Correction Facility for Troubled Young Men

Newark, New Jersey, 07175

Theo's address is much longer, and much more complicated than mine that is for sure. I've never actually met him, or even lay eyes on him. We only speak through letters, and once a phone call on Christmas. The sound of his voice was the best gift I got that Christmas. It was smooth and deep and soothing and made me smile for the rest of the night.

I get up from my white wooden desk and carry the letter to the garage. I find my mint green bike and peddle down the long dirt drive way to our mail box. I open the box and slide in my letter, one of many that I've written.

Theo is my best friend, and I love him.
