Chapter 14 : Loving You

(6 months later)

Rona had not stepped outside the Hans' Residence for months now and now her wounds from the gunshot had also completely healed. While she lived with the Hans, she had gotten to learn a lot about the three brothers.

The Hans had lost their parents 3 years ago and the cause of their sudden death was still unknown and it was a topic even Jaehyun could talk about without his gaze darkening.

Thankfully for the brothers, it seemed like their parents had always been prepared for this and had left behind a lot of money and properties for the Hans that would be enough to cover all their expenses for a lifetime. The Hans owned a construction company called 'The Hans Constructions' and it was currently being run by the late Mr. Han's loyal secretary who had taken care of the brothers up till now. The company was one of the leading top ten construction companies in the whole world and Seojun would soon acquire it once he finished high school and became an adult.

As for the ages of the three brothers, Rona was surprised to find out that Jaehyun and Baekkyung were in the same grade as her while Seojun was one year elder than the three of them. She was especially surprised by Seojun's age since he had always appeared so mature and calm in front of her and had always been the one to check up on her regularly.

The Hans never wanted to make Rona feel like she was being confined so they did let her move freely around the house and she also could step out onto their lawn whenever she wanted. Only, she was never allowed to step outside. Seojun had told her that he would give the reasons when the time was right and Rona had decided to trust him for it. The only reason she had willing decided to continue living with these strangers was because of their connection to Seola and her will to avenge Seola's untimely death.

She knew it was stupid for trusting them just for their words but there really wouldn't be anyone waiting for her back home except for Yoonhee who had already been informed about her whereabouts two months ago. Yoonhee had been shocked and had begged to know where she was so she could come over but it was obvious that there were too many risks. Her mom had been updating them on what went down in Hera Palace as requested by Seojun although Rona still wasn't sure what his plan was.

It was another day for Rona. She was being homeschooled alongside Jaehyun and Baekkyung and after studying, she pretty much didn't have anything to do. At times, she would go up to her balcony and practice her classical singing although it was not clear if she would ever go back to Cheonga again.

Just like the other days, Rona quietly headed up to her room after studying for the day had been done while Jaehyun watched her with a glint in his eyes.

"Stop it." Baekkyung spoke while observing his brother.

"What?"

"Stop being obvious, you moron." Baekkyung lightly smacked Jaehyun's head as he got up from his chair and stood in front of Jaehyun.

"I don't know what you are talking about." Jaehyun dropped his gaze on the table and began to pile up his books.

"You used to always stay in the lawn, practicing with your gun and your arrows before but ever since Bae Rona has started living here...all you do is hang around her or watch her from a distance."

Jaehyun scoffed while running his fingers through his hair.

"Wh-what are you saying hyung...I-it's not like that."

"You like her...don't you?"

"No...no I don't. I'm Han Jaehyun...I have standards."

"And what's wrong with liking Rona? She is practically perfect."
