Eunbyeol heard the door unlock which was followed by the sound of her mother's heels against the floor. She furrowed her eyebrows as she sensed how her mother's footsteps were heavy and not confident like they usually were. Getting up from her study area she stepped outside and peeked at her mother. Seojin had poured herself a glass of wine and was sitting on the couch, the fingers of her left hand rubbing against her temples while she exhaled heavily.

Quietly, Eunbyeol walked up to her mother and seated herself beside her. "Mom? Is...s-something wrong?" Seojin opened her eyes and looked at her daughter. Setting her wine glass down on the table, she grabbed Eunbyeol's arms tightly and gazed sharply into her eyes. "Ha Eunbyeol. This time I won't be able to help you get the top grades. Logan Lee appointed a different teacher from SNU to be in charge for the upcoming examinations." Eunbyeol's eyes widened and her lips quivered. "Wh-what? H-how will I d-do well then?" She stuttered while stroking her hair repeatedly. "Are you that incapable? You are Cheon Seojin's daughter. You should be able to bag first position with your skills. Do you understand?" Eunbyeol felt her heart beat quicken and her stomach twisting into a tight knot. She knew she couldn't beat Seokhoon and Rona. She knew she was incapable.

"Do you know why your father hasn't been around lately?" Seojin said after releasing Eunbyeol from her grip. She picked up the wine glass and subtly swirled it, staring into the red wine. "Isn't he caught up with too many surgeries?" Seojin laughed. "No, you idiot. It's because of your incapability." Eunbyeol looked at her mother who was now gulping down the wine like it was water. "Wh-what do you mean?" Seojin smashed the glass against the table, the shard stabbing into her palm as she laughed maniacally. "MOM!" Eunbyeol tried to get up and get the first aid box when Seojin held her down. With her bloody hands, she caressed Eunbyeol's cheeks and looked at her daughter with a dark eyes. "Rona's mom is your father's first love. Now that she is here in Hera Palace, he is getting swayed. And the fact that Rona is the perfect daughter really doesn't help. If only you were even a bit like her. He might leave us and it is all your fault." A dark shadow loomed over Eunbyeol's face. Her hands trembled as she saw her father's smile in her head. "No. I won't let that happen. Whatever it takes, I won't lose." She quietly went back to her room and began studying.

It was midnight now but no matter how many times she read the books, nothing seemed to be entering her head. Images of her father leaving her and going to Rona flashed in front of her. She crumpled the pages of her notebook and screamed. "No. Dad can't leave me. He can't. I won't let him." She stared at the books in front of her. There was no way she would rank first with the way she was studying in tomorrow's examination. "Whatever it takes..." She muttered while pulling out her phone from her drawer and dialing in Mr. Ma's number. "Hello? Why did you call me at this hour, Eunbyeol-ah?" The teacher's sweet voice spoke. "Ssaem...Can you run a background check on the SNU professor in charge of tomorrow's exam? Send me all of his personal details ASAP." She heard Mr. Ma's sigh on the other end of the phone. "You want to keep your job, right ssaem?" She added, smirking.

An hour later, Eunbyeol received a pdf which enlisted the personal information of the SNU professor. Her gaze fell on the address of the professor. "I will be number 1." She grabbed her purse and quietly snuck out of the house, clutching her phone tightly.

It was striking 1 am when she arrived in front of the professor's house with a bouquet and an expensive bottle of chamagne. A middle aged man opened the door with a confused expression. "Who is it at this hour-" He froze when he laid eyes on Ha Eunbyeol who stood in front of him with a bright smile on her face. She handed him the bouquet and champagne. "Good evening, Mr. Park. I'm sure you recognize my face. I'm Cheon Seojin's daughter, Ha Eunbyeol." The man gulped while his gaze travelled down her face to her body. Eunbyeol had word a tight black minidress that wrapped itself perfectly around her body, showing her curves. She had thrown a white shrug on top of her shoulders and her hair was tied up in a messy bun. Dark red lipstick was smeared over her lips and she had worn a pair of black high heels. "It must be hard preparing the question paper in such short time. As a student of Cheong A, I decided to visit you to thank you for your efforts." She said while smiling shyly and tucking one loose strand of her hair behind her ears. Mr. Park smiled. "What a sweet child! Come on in Eunbyeol-ah." He said welcoming her in. Her chest tightening, she took a deep breath and walked inside. The house was huge. She flinched when she felt the man's arms around her waist. "Since you came all the way here... why don't you show me how thankful you are. Maybe you can earn some brownie points for the examination..." He breathed down her neck. Cracking a nervous smile, she turned around and wrapped her hands around the man's neck. "I'll make sure to entertain you today, Mr. Park." She whispered in his ears before biting softly into his neck. His hands wrapped around her waist again as he gently pressed his lips against hers. The sick feeling inside her stomach kept rising but she made no efforts to stop him. He lifted her body and carried her to his room. Gently laying her body gently on the bed, he removed the bathrobe from his body and smiled thirstily while eyeing her. Eunbyeol gulped while trying hard to maintain the smile on her face. He pulled the shrug off her shoulder and threw it on the floor, kissing her harder.
