Chapter 9 : Now that the fairytale is over

Eunbyeol hid behind the corner of the wall as she saw Rona step out of Seokhoon's room. "Why is she always with him?" She bit her lower lip, her anger slowly rising while she watched Rona smile at Seokhoon.

"Oh and Joo Seokhoon!" She said while looking back when she finally reached the door. "Yeah?" He asked stopping on his way to the bathroom. "Come meet me by the swimming pool at 10 pm tonight."

Eunbyeol frowned. "10 pm?" Clenching her fists she quietly followed Rona. There was no way she was going to let the witch come in between her and Seokhoon anymore. She was about to grab Rona's arm when she felt something under her foot.

Eunbyeol lifted her leg to see a golden heart shaped locket lying on the floor. She looked up and watched Rona reach the end of the hallway and enter her room. "Does this belong to her?" She leaned down and picked it up. "I wonder if there's something inside." She muttered as she tried to open it.

The moment she opened the locket, her eyes widened as she gasped, placing her palm on her mouth. Inside the locket, was a picture of Rona and Seola smiling at each other. Eunbyeol scoffed. "Bae Rona...and Min Seola? ....then the person who did that earlier....was Bae Rona?" A smile crept up her face. She shut the locket and slipped it into the pocket of her jeans. "Bae Rona...you finally showed your true colours. I won't let this slide." She quickly turned and trudged towards Seokkyung's room with a dark smile. "I'll make you regret entering our lives."

Seokkyung sat on her bed while hugging her knees tightly. She kept trying not to think about it but the things that happened a few hours earlier kept flashing in front of her eyes again and again. Was Min Seola really alive? Or did her spirit come back to haunt all of them? Or was it someone else? Whoever the person behind the attack was, it was clear that this was just a start. There was no way they would stop so quickly after the way Seola died.

A knock on her door broke her thought process. "Come in." She said while getting out of her bed as she straightened her hair and clothes. "Joo Seokkyung" Eunbyeol walked in followed by Minhyuk and Jenny. "What are all of you doing here? I'm tired. I want to sleep." Seokkyung said as she sat down on her bed with a bored expression. "This is urgent. I think I know who was behind that attack." Eunbyeol explained, receiving confused looks from the three people in the room. "What do you mean?" Jenny asked, sitting down beside Seokkyung. 

Eunbyeol smirked. "It was Bae Rona." Jenny rolled her eyes and sighed. "Even if you hate her, how can you accuse Rona of doing something so horrendous?" Minhyuk nodded. "Even though she's annoying, she helped all of us get top scores. Why would she do that to us?" Seokkyung was quiet. Even though she wanted to believe Eunbyeol, it really didn't make any sense for someone like Rona to do that to them.

Eunbyeol smirked at Minhyuk. "Why do you think she helped all of you to get on this cruise? Its because she had a plan." She removed the locket from her pocket and handed it to Seokkyung. "Besides, she has every reason to harm us..." Seokkyung opened the locket and gasped while Jenny and Minhyuk stared at it in shock. "...because Bae Rona and Min Seola were friends." The locket slipped out of Seokkyung's hands and fell on the floor. "So...she just pretended to be nice and caring for us from the very start?" Seokkyung muttered as she got up and stomped on the necklace. "No matter how many times I think about it, it just doesn't make sense that she left right before the attacks started and came back and saved us at the right time." Eunbyeol said as she looked at Jenny who was quietly staring at the locket. "I thought we were friends..." Minhyuk scoffed. "We can't let this slide. Bae Rona...you will pay for playing with us like this."

"It just so happens to be that we have the perfect opportunity to get back at her tonight." Eunbyeol said while glancing at her watch. "I overheard Rona asking Seokhoon to meet her by the swimming pool at 10 pm. It's 9:45 now...she must be waiting over there." Seokkyung clenched her fists. "How dare she try and make moves on my brother after attacking us and him included. I won't let her stick around my brother anymore." Jenny wiped her tears and stood up. "I can't forgive her for this." Eunbyeol looked at Minhyuk. "You go and do anything and everything to stop Seokhoon from going to the swimming pool. Stall him for as long as you can." Minhyuk nodded as the group stepped out of Seokkyung's room. "Bae Rona...its over for you now."
