"So you're telling me, in just three months you think he is good to leave." Enji said not believing what he was hearing

"Yes D-Toya is a model patient, he was a little hard to handle at first but, we have him on a new medication that seems to calm him down, and see no reason to keep him here, but he does need a support system, so can you pick him up on the 23rd?"

"I don't think that's a good idea, I think he needs to stay for future evaluation."

"I'm sorry, enji but we can't keep a patient who we think is good to go, it will take up space."

"I'll send someone to get him and bring him home." Enji said

"Okay great i'm sure he will be happy to hear it." the doctors said and hung up

"Man, my mind feels weird." Dabi thought "Whatever those pills are doing a number on my head, why was I sent here again, oh right, Kent's eyelid...why did I burn his eyelid, oh right (Name) was getting closer to that guy,, damn bird brain." Dabi was thinking, staring up at the ceiling, when the door opened and that was the que to get going to the doctor.

He sat down on the shrinks chair

"Hello Dabi, so how are we feeling today."

"I think these meds are messing up my head." Dabi said

"That would be you being calm." They said "Are you fatigued at all?"

"No, just..It's like when you being thrown back and forth and all of a sudden it stops."Dabi said

"Well again the medication seem to be helping your temper, but remember you still need to work on getting your temper under control, think of it as a crutch dabi, when you break your leg you can be expected to start walking on it again, you need a crunch and with the crutch you can train your leg to get better, does that make sense."

"I guess...why are you telling me this though." Dabi asked

"Well, I think you have shown great improvement over the last 3 month and you have been opening up more, the medication we have you on seems to be a good fit so, we are releasing you tomorrow, your father is going to have someone pick you up."

"Is that so...huh." Dabi said

"We will be giving you a three month prescription , after that i would suggest to keep seeing a therapist, and call us back when you need a refill."

"So wait, I'm really just free to go."

"Dabi this isn't a prison, this facility was here to help you, not lock you up to keep you away."They said

"Well, kinda felt like one." Dabi said, still what a short session this was.

The next morning was hell waiting for whoever was coming to pick him up,while wearing the hospital slippers while it was freezing. So when he saw the car pull up and was surprised to see his mother driving and got out.

"Toya, oh it really is you." She said and gave him a hug which he didn't know how to accept, "Come on it's freezing out here, i have your room made up back home."

The ride back home was awkward, dabi didn't really like being called Toya, and again this lady called his mom, just felt like a stranger to him.

"You know, shoto has grown up a bit since last time, and natsuo is really happy to see you." She said "and fuyumi is your favourite."

"Is that so?" Dabi said still staring out the window, did they not think that maybe his taste has changed in the last what...5 years

"So how are you feeling?"
"FIne, whatever medication they got me on is doing something." Dabi said

"They put you on medication?" she asked

"Yeah just something to help me control my anger till I can learn myself."

"So it isn't a permanent thing?" she asked

"Nope." Dabi said

"Well it's christmas eve tomorrow so for once your dad should be home."

"Great, I bet he is ecstatic to see his bastard child back."

"Toya, he is excited to have you back home."

"Is that why he sent you to pick me up and not him?" Dabi asked

"Toya please, he is trying to be a better father than he was."

"Well i'll be the judge of that." Dabi thought but just replied okay.

Well at least his old room didn't change, as he went on to the bed and took out the book he re read like 6 times, and the bottle of pills on his night stand, he didn't feel like doing much of anything now.

You and Keigo were on your way to your parents house the next evening, December 24th. It was a long drive filled with horrible music while Keigo was screeching the lyrics at the top of his lungs.

"OH wow this is where you grew up?" Keigo asked

"Yup, oh look my parents are here." you said waving your hand as they came out

"(name), oh it's so good to see you again, you haven't been texting or calling as much." your mom said "who is this handsome gentleman?"

"Oh mom , dad , thai is keigo my friend i was telling you about."

"Oh I was expecting a...girl." your mom said "well it's nice to meet you, would you like to come in?"

"Sure!" Keigo said as he walked up the steps into your old house.

Dabi was taking time for himself, like usually, his brother was off with some friends,and so was his sister, his little brother was aloof and couldn't get a conversation out of him.

He didn't want to talk with his parents, he really did feel like there was any connection, none of them.

THen he kept thinking, he didn't really have a connection with Kent, just more of a person to use to his end goal, he couldn't remember any of his highschool friends, they all fucked off. Oh now he remembered only person he ever felt like he had a connection to was you.
