Linda jumped up from her chair, suddenly, while still in the meeting. The rest of her coworkers, and the, hopefully, permanent substitution teachers stared at her in confusion while she breathed deeply to settle her booming heart.
"Are you alright, Linda?" Helen asked, concerned.
Realizing that people were staring at her, she smiled down at them, brushing her shirt to get off invisible dirt, "Oh, no, I'm fine. I apologize, but I just realized I forgot to do something very important."
"And what's that?"
"Oh...it's my brother's birthday today, and I forgot to wish him a happy birthday, it's tradition, you see."
"Ah, well, please wish your brother a happy birthday for me!" called Fred, winking.
Linda smiled, "I will, you desperate idiot. Now, if you'd please excuse me!"
She darted out of the room, rushed past the confused guards, and dashed to her office. There, she picked up the phone and called her brother. She waited while it dilded once, twice, three times before she shoved the phone into the receiver, and picked up her portable phone. Her brother was never late to pick up the phone. But they had made a promise to both Her and themselves that they'd pick up immediately if one called the other on their portable phones.
Thankfully, Yosef picked up the phone before the first ring finished. "Livva, I can't talk at the moment-"
"You felt that, right? I'm not going crazy, right!?"
"I did! Her Most Highest Of Highnesses has Blessed him. He now is in the form of one of the Great Ten. But he is weak, his body cannot handle Her Blessing."
"Why give him the form, if She knew he would be so weak!?"
"I am not sure, but we cannot question Her. She knows all and is all. That is what's important, don't lose sight of that, sister."
"I know," Linda snapped. "Trust me, I know. Just, give me the video footage of what's going on, please. Link it to me."
"Alright," a pause on his end, "I've just sent it, good luck sister. May She guide our way."
"May She guide our way," Linda repeated before hanging up. She walked to the door and opened it. "Guard me, and make sure no one, I mean no one takes one step in here."
"Yes, my Lady," the guards smiled, getting drunk on her fumes.
"Thank you," she closed the door and turned on the TV on the right. She input a code on her computer and the real time footage of LA appeared. "Let's watch the show!" she declared to no one in particular.

"Please stop pacing, Nine," John sighed, while he stared at the ceiling.
