8:26, Monday

This morning i have no work, I usually take this day as a free one, but today I've got some plans. I don't celebrate Christmas or new year, but my sister really likes those Christmas toys, so i decided to go to the most popular toy store in the whole new york,to get her some toys of course. Today is a 'special' day in that toy store, they give a free toy to every visitor who comes inside, perfect opportunity huh?

I locked the door of my apartment and rushed outside so i don't have to talk to anyone, they only ask about my sister, but i don't wanna talk about it until i know that i can afford the surgery.

The streets were much fuller than yesterday now. There were people dressing up as an elf, santa and even raindeers. There was someone cosplaying santa, who approached me as soon as he saw me

"Ho ho ho! Merry early Christmas kid!"

"Hello sir" i looked up at him

"I've got lots of candy here, would you like some? It's for free!" the man offered

"Thank you, but i think that's more for kids. I'm fine thank you" i scratched the back of my head in awkwardness

"Oh what a kind soul. Merry early Christmas" he put the candy back in his bag and walked past me

"You too." i sighed and started walking back where i was going, when i finally approached the building there was loud Christmas music and many beautiful Christmas decorations, much toys like - dolls, bears, cars, robots etc. I watched the toys move for a while since they were 'animated' and then walked right inside. The store was huge, there was a chirtsmas tree in the middle that decorated almost everything in the room, many chirtsmas lights & fake snow that actually looked pretty good

A man approached me with a wide smile, he was dressed as an elf and had a gift in his hands

"Greetings!!" the man said

"Hello sir" i replied as he handed me the gift

"I think you know that today is a special day and we give away gifts!?" the man fixed his glasses with his fingers and smiled

"Of course! Happy 1 year anniversary to this store. It is the best one I've been in yet" i quickly replied

"Thanks a lot, people usually come here only for gifts, you know.. Free ones" the man's face faded

"They just want free items, they don't even care about the store or... Its anniversary" the man looked back up and tried to smile

"Well i remember, thank you for making such a great store mr."

"Thank you. Enjoy your holidays" the man shot me another smile and walked away to give some more gifts to people coming inside

I walked around the store for a long time, watching as the toys moved, the happy kids running around and asking their parents to buy them some toys. God i wish that i could buy my sister too, but her life is more important than some toy that she will later on grow up of.

I walked out of the store and started walking around. The most busy street in new York had a big tree which was decorated by everyone from this city. Before my sister got put in the hospital, we also came here and decorated the tree a bit. She put a red ornament with some angels drawn on it on the tree. I walked around and watched all of the ornaments, all of them were very different, some were almost the same. And now i came around the whole tree and noticed a small red ornament, with angels drawn on it. This was my sister's ornament. I remember helping her reach the place where she put it.

There were many people selling different food... Drinks and other type of stuff, there were many different things everyone selled. I noticed a hot chocolate stand, there was a grown up man around my age making the chocolate for the people who approached him, and some teenager around the age of 17 watching him do it and help a bit. That got interesting to watch so i approached them, and they also greeted me

"Welcome to our hot chocolate stand! We can make you one in under 1 minute, also, you don't need to pay since we love to giveaway some stuff"

The man greeted me and started making me some hot chocolate

"Really? I just wanted to watch you make it, but thank you!" i chuckled and watched as he made the hot chocolate

"hi! My name is Tommy, i run this shop most of the time, so feel free to ask me anything" the blonde guy placed his hands on his hips and proudly watched me, but before i could say anything, the other guy handed me the hot chocolate

"Thank you for coming and don't mind him, he's my younger brother who just loves to do random things." the man smiled and put his spoon down

"Haha, must be fun to have a sibling around, he seems very nice" i smiled

"Sometimes it isn't. He really bothers me when i work, but that's fine, you really want a sibling by your side since you decided to ask that?" the man wondered

"Well, i do have a sibling, but she's in the hospital with a very bad condition. I have been alone for almost a week now, it's really annoying" i sighed and took a sip of the hot chocolate

"Oh my, im so sorry to hear that. We have been saving up for the new video game with my younger brother, however we decided to give it away for free and then figure something out, however we made 50€ before we gave everything for free." the man turned around and grabbed a cup full of money - which i assumed was 50€

"That's great! You're doing a very good job on this one" i pulled my scarf a bit up since my nose got cold

"Yeah, you can take it. You need it more than we do" he handed me the cup and smiled as he covered his younger sibling's mouth

"Huh? No. I can't take it, you guys earned it" i tried to give the cup back but the man didn't take it

"Take it as an early Christmas gift, miracles happen!"

I looked at the cup and thought for a while, until i finally accepted it since the man simply wouldn't take it back.

"Thank you! It helps me out a lot, I'll try to pay you back when my sister gets her surgery."

"Your welcome! My name is will and tommy just in case"

"Thank you. See you around and thanks again!" i walked away with a wide smile, those guys seem to be very nice and caring. Wish i had friends like that, but im simply too busy to have any now that my sister is in that condition.
