About an hour later, Riki and the therapist walked out of the room. He was smiling and holding her hand.

"Hey, bud," I said when they to me. "Did you have fun?" Riki quickly nodded his head. "Yeah, Daddy! We played with blocks, colored in books, and we even watched a show on tv!"

"Oh, that does sound fun. Glad you had a great time."

"Daddy, can we please come back?" Riki asked with pleading eyes. "Let me ask the therapist first. Here, you can play on my phone." I handed Riki my phone and jumped onto the chair beside me.

I looked back at the therapist. "So, how was he?" She nodded. "Riki answered all of my questions. Of course, there were times he cried a little, but he did fine. Just keep coming until the last Tuesday of the month, and everything will be great."

"That's good. Oh, I never got your name."

"I'm Sim Y/n. I'm technically supposed to know you're name, but I never looked at the clipboard." she chuckled. "What's yours?"

"Lee Heeseung,"

I saw her eyes grow wide, but it only happened for a second. "Well, it was nice to meet you, Heeseung. And I'm sorry about what happened to Riki's mom. If you ever need someone to talk to."

"No, I'm fine; I just needed a therapist for Riki," I regretted interrupting her. Y/n smiled and shook her head. Then she reached into the pocket of her sweater and handed me a business card. "Just in case."

"Thank you," I said. "Come on, Riki, let's go get some ice cream." "Yay!" he squealed as he jumped off the chair and moved next to me. "Bye, Miss Y/n!" he waved.

"Bye, Riki; it was nice meeting you." Y/n said, "See you next week." We waved to each other we were walking out of the therapist's office. Then we got into the car and drove out of the parking lot.

So my instincts were right: Riki's therapist Y/n, my girlfriend from college.

We had only started dating the day I got arrested. Ten years had passed when I saw her again. I was hoping that she was waiting for me, but instead, Y/n showed me a wedding ring on her finger. I told her that I was happy for her, but in reality, I was hurting.

She didn't visit me after we had our encounter; I wasn't expecting her anyways. We had our own separate lives, plus I had just met Jisoo.

A tiny part of me wanted to ask Y/n if she remembered me. I didn't want to get back together, though, for she was married. Hopefully, she doesn't get that idea.

A few minutes later, I parked in the parking lot and looked back at Riki, grinning. "Ready did some ice cream?"

When I got to Mimi's house, it was Seonwoo, Mimi's husband, who answered the door. "Oh, hey Y/n. How are you?" he asked. "I'm doing good. How are you?" I replied.

"Good as well. Your twins are with my twins in the gaming room, and Mimi is in the kitchen. I figured that you were looking for Mimi first."

I laughed. "You know me so well."

Seonwoo moved out of the way so I could enter the house. I walked straight into the kitchen and found Mimi washing the dishes. Once she heard someone walk in, she looked up. "Hey Y/n, h- wait, are you okay?"

I sighed. "Mimi, I saw Heeseung at the office today." Mimi dropped the fork she was holding into the sink. "Wait, are you serious?"

I nodded. Mimi dried off her hands and guided me to sit at the table with her. "Tell me everything," she said.

"The therapy is for his son, Riki. I thought I recognized him at first, but I just pushed it aside. Then he told me his name, and I- gosh, I'm so stupid" I placed my head into my head.

"There, there Y/n, it will be okay." Mimi cooed, rubbing my back. "Did he recognize you?"

"I'm pretty sure he did, but I don't know."

"How long will the sessions last?"

"A month," I replied. "But that means I have to see Heeseung for three more Tuesdays! What should I do?"

Mimi leaned back into her chair. "Hmm. Maybe approach him next week if he doesn't approach you first. Just be nice to an old boyfriend."

"Yeah, I could do that."

"What are the sessions for anyways?"

"Riki's mom ran away."

"Ohh, so Heeseung's single as well then?"

"I guess so- wait, what you say?" I turned to face Mimi and saw her wearing a smirking grin. "You need to let him know that you're single too."

"That's not happening. I don't even have feelings for Heeseung anymore." I felt my face growing hot, and I shook my head to calm it down. "Look, I need to go. It was nice seeing you, Mimi. Mingi! Minji! Let's go!"

I started to walk away to the front door. "Did you give Heeseung your number?" I heard Mimi shout, laughing. "No, of course, I...oh shoot, I gave him my business card!"

Mimi laughed even harder. My twins were at the front door, and they both gave me confused looks. "What's Aunt Mimi laughing about?" asked Mingi.

"Don't worry about it," I said. "Let's go pick up something to eat."

After we finished our meal, the twins went and got ready for bed. I slipped into my pajamas and lay on my bed, staring at the dark ceiling.

Did Heeseung remember who I was? Will he ask me about it next week? All of these thoughts were swarming in my head.

I hated thinking about him; it gave me butterflies inside my stomach.

The reason I had stopped meeting him all those years ago was that I wanted to forget about him; push him aside.

Besides, it was wrong for me to visit my ex.

Hopefully, he didn't recognize me today.

I like Heeseung's smile :)
