Chapter 14 : Orange Juice

I ended the call with Dab. Mabilis akong pumasok sa loob ng kotse.

Then, I remember something. "I forgot to ask where her house is."

Hindi pa ako nakapunta sa bahay nila Dab maski ni isa. That's why I do not know where she lives!

I looked at Weslee. He just chuckled.

"I know where it is.

Kahit naguguluhan ay hinayaan ko siyang sabihin sa driver ang alam niyang address ni Dab. I just forgot to ask where her house is. And she seems like she have a problem. What could it be?

And my mother. Will she understand? No. Sasabihin 'nun, gumagawa lang ako ng rason.

I just sighed.

"Why?" I heard Weslee asked. I shook my head.

"If you're worried about Dab, she'll gonna be alright. And if you're worried about your mother," he stopped when I looked at him. "Don't worry about it. She'll understand ... for sure."

I smiled. Tama. Hindi muna 'yon ang po-problemahin ko. Dab. She needs my help.

I smiled. "Okay."

"ARE you sure this is the house?" Medyo madilim na nang dumating kami sa bahay nila  Dab. Hindi kalayuan pero hindi rin malayo. Malapit lang rin dito ang bahay nila Weslee, I know it.

Tumango siya. "As sure as you doubt it is."

I eyed him. He just chuckled.

I pressed the bell and after a minute, may bumukas sa gate.

I was startled to see who it was. It was Cole!

I eyed Weslee. This is not Dab's house, this is Cole's! Why did he bring me here?!

"I'm sorry -"

"Where is Dab?" Weslee asked to Cole.

Nilingon niya ako saka ngumiti. "You must be here for Cathlyn."

Cathlyn? Who's that?

Tumango si Weslee.

"Okay. Come on in." He smiled as he guided us inside his house.

"It's nice to see you again, Gwy." he smiled as he opened the door.

Ngumiti rin ako. "Nice to see you too, but can I ask something?"

"Sure. Ask away."

I cleared my throat. Magtatanong na sana ako pero hinawakan ni Weslee ang kamay ko. Pinipigilan ako sa pagsasalita.

"If you're going to ask if he has a girlfriend the answer is yes." sunod-sunod na bulong ni Weslee sa'kin.

Kumunot ang noo ko. "I am not going to ask that."

Inalis ko ang kamay niya mula sa pagkakahawak sa kamay ko. I paced forward to catch Cole's footsteps.

"Uhm... we're here for Dab - my friend. I don't know who Cathlyn is but we should get going. Dab really need me -"

"I know." He chuckled. "She's Cathlyn Dove. She's here. She's my sister."

"She's your what?!" pag-uulit ko. Dalawang bagay ang ikinagulat ko sa sinabi ni Cole. It was the full name of Dab which is Cathlyn Dove and the thing that he said that she's his sister!

Did I hear it right or...

Is he really Dab's brother?! Then ... is he an agent?!

He chuckled. "My sister, Gwy."
