*Jen's POV*
She let me walk away. She let me leave. She let me go. She didn't even say anything. I will not be played. I will not be an experiment. I fell in love, but it will never happen again. Mainly because I will never move on, but partly because of the pain. I will not let myself love. It will only get me hurt. I parked my car in my driveway, then got out. I walked to the front door and unlocked it, then walked in, slamming the door behind me. I sighed and walked up the stairs and to my room. I flopped on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Love is weakness.
*Lana's POV*
My tears are heavy, but not as heavy as my heart. I'm stupid as hell for letting her leave. I'm a fucking idiot. I promised! We promised! We promised each other that we wouldn't let other people's thoughts and opinions affect our relationship! We promised. Jen is my family, and I just let her leave. I played with the engagement ring on my finger as I sat on the edge of my bed. "Uh.. Mom?" I heard. I looked up and smiled at Colby. "What's up love?" I asked. She stepped in the room a little. "Mom.. I'm sorry you and mom got in a fight... I shouldn't have called you." She said. I shook my head. "Sweets, this is NOT your fault. Okay? Your mom and I fought over what other people are saying about us. Not anything you did, honey." I said. She looked at me and frowned. "But.. You love each other.." She said. I nodded. "But I let her walk away." I said. "Oh.." She said and looked at her shoes. "You okay love?" I asked. She nodded. "I'm sorry you guys are fighting.. Uh.. D-did you break up?" She asked. I released a sigh. "I'm not sure love.." I said and her face turned to sadness. "Okay Colby, it's late. It's almost eleven o'clock. Get to bed. Tomorrow's Saturday. So, we can go out or whatever tomorrow. Okay?" I said. She smiled and nodded. "I love you mom." She said. I smiled. "I love you too kiddo." I said. She walked out and my smile fell. I picked up my phone. I called Jen, but she didn't answer. So, I left a voicemail. "Uh. Hey, listen. I know I shouldn't have let you leave. That was not okay. I uh... I love you Jen. You were not an experiment. And I don't give two shits about what other people say. I made you a promise that we wouldn't let their opinions ruin our relationship and I will keep that promise. You are the only person I love and I do not want to lose you. I do love you. A lot. Please.. Please call me or text me or something." I said and hung up. I sighed as I put my phone down. I laid down in bed, staring at the ceiling, but I know I won't get any sleep tonight. Not without Jen. I looked out the window and stared at the moon. "I know you're somewhere out there... Somewhere far away... I want you back.. I want you back.." I started singing with a shaky voice. "My neighbors think I'm crazy, but they don't understand. You're all I have. You're all I have." I took in a shallow breath. "At night when the stars light up my room, I sit by myself.. Talking to the moon... Tryin' to get to you... In hopes you're on the other side, talking to me too, or am I a fool. Who sits alone. Talking to the moon." I sang and the tears returned. I dialed Jen's number again, but she didn't answer. I sighed and set my phone down. I fell asleep around 2 am, but was awoken at 5 am from a nightmare. I sighed and turned on the tv. I decided to watch The Fault In Our Stars. When the movie ended, I just decided on watching Friends. After a while, I realized it was 10 o'clock. I released a heavy sigh, then Colby walked in my room. "Can we go to the park?" She asked. I smiled and nodded. "Course sweets." I said. She smiled. "I'm ready when you are." She said. I then realized she was already dressed. She left the room and I got up. I quickly got up and changed into a comfortable outfit. I walked out of my room and downstairs, to find Colby standing by the door. "Let's go." She said. I laughed as we walked out of the house. We got in the car and I drove to the park, down the street from our house. I parked and we got out. We walked around for a minute until I saw the very familiar, blonde ponytail. I ran over to her and wrapped my arms around her tightly. "Lana. Not now." She said. "Did you get my voicemail?" I asked. "No." she said. I nodded and she got out her phone. She held it up to her ear, then looked at me, sadly. After she listened to the whole thing, she kissed me. I smiled as she pulled away. "I love you." I said. She smiled. "I love you too." She said, then held me in her arms. I smiled again. "But... Lana... I don't want to fight all the time." She said. I nodded. "Relationships go through hell. The real ones make it through." I said. She smiled and kissed me, hard. "Promise, that no matter how mad one of us gets, we won't break up and we will not walk away." I said. She nodded. "Lana.. I'm sorry I accused you of experimenting with me." She said. I shook my head. "Let's not talk about that." I said. She nodded again. "Jen.. I love you. A lot. But, I don't want to fight all the time. I don't want to be unhappy. Because you are my happiness and I don't want my happiness to cause me pain." I sad. She smiled. "Lana... We won't fight all the time. Okay? I love you. And I always will. I will try my damned hardest not to cause you pain. Because when you're in pain, I'm in pain. Okay?" She asked. I smiled, then kissed her again. "Jen, I don't care what anyone else says about us. I love you and I don't care who knows it." I said. She smiled and nodded. "I love you too." She said. I smiled and she grabbed my hand. We walked over to where Colby was standing, with a smirk on her face. "Let's go home." She said. Jen and I nodded and we walked back to my car. We got in and I drove us home. "So, how'd you know your mom was going to be at the park?" I asked and looked at Colby through the rear view mirror. She smiled. "I know that when mom's upset, she runs. And so, I figured it was worth a shot." She said. I smiled as Jen held my hand. "So, love, where's your car?" I asked. "My house." She said with a sigh. I nodded and drove towards Jen's house. We got there around noon. She smiled and kissed me. "I'll see you at home." She said and kissed me again. I nodded and she got out. I drove Colby and I home, Jen following. I parked and checked the clock. 12:47. We got out and Jen parked. She got out and grabbed my hand. "We need to talk." She said. I nodded. "After lunch." I said. She agreed.

After lunch, Colby went to her room so Jen and I could talk. We sat down on the couch and she smiled. She grabbed my hands in hers and played with my engagement ring. I chuckled and she smiled. "Lana... I want to sell my house." She said. I smiled. "You want to sell your house?" I asked. She nodded. "That way, we'll talk things out and I won't run if we ever fight." She said. I smiled and kissed her. "I love you." I said. She smiled. "I love you more." She said. I chuckled. "Keep thinking that." I said. She smiled and pinned me onto the couch. "Jen.. Colby.." I said. She smiled. "She won't come look for us." She said. I chuckled as she took my lips into hers. Love is strength.
