Jake; pretty unwillingly, attended his classes. He took notes, did whatever the professor asked him to do but nonetheless, he couldn't concentrate. His mind lingered around memories he had created in this short life... As soon as the classes ended, he ran out; straight to the English department; where his friend was. Fortunately, he didn't have to enter the 3rd year's classroom.
"Oh, Jake!!! I was coming to-"
Heeseung tries to speak but is unexpectedly stopped by Jake, who starts dragging him somewhere; making him go,
"Woahhhhh!!!!"
The younger runs to a quiet place with him and he decides to not question it. Jake takes the older to the back of the campus; where it was only him and Heeseung. Suddenly, without any warning, the younger hugs the older tightly; startling him and almost making him fall. Flustered, the older returns the hug hesitantly and the younger bursts in tears.
"H-hyung.... I got my m-message! I only have a week left to live..."
He announces through his sobs; almost choking on his tears. The older breaks the hug abruptly and holds Jake by his shoulders
"How!?!? That can't be!"
He exclaims with a look of shock, fear and worry while breathing heavily. This news was not expected nor wished for... Heeseung would do anything anything to make it a lie. Jake again hugs Heeseung in the same manner but this time, burying his face in the older one's chest.
"Hyung... Thanks for everything... I love you!"
He cries; unable to think about anything better that could be said at the moment.
"Jake.... Oh, Jake!"
Heeseung speaks up in a sympathic tone, slowly; love and concern dripping through his sweet voice that alone, was enough to comfort someone. He breaks the hug and wipes away his friend's tears.
"Jake... Be strong! I'll do what I can.... I can't let you die! As long as I'm here, I won't let you get a single scratch! I'll protect you. I'll find a way of saving you... I don't know how but I will; no matter what!"
He says in a low and deep voice with a firm expression on his face. He really wasn't kidding about this. He was adamant about finding out a way through which Jake could live... and judging by how stubborn he was about a thing he once set his mind to, Jake knew that Heeseung would give it all to make sure he has a longer life to live. He didn't know how much Heeseung could succeed but he knew that this friend of his would try his best to give him at least one more year to live...
