"Demigod's soulmate, huh?"
The young man mumbles under his breath as he walks through the dark and narrow alley which was a shortcut to his apartment. The place wasn't very safe to be walking through at night but to Jake, it seemed like the best idea as he was getting late already. He didn't want to keep Layla waiting anymore. He speeds up on his feet but not for long. Quite unexpectedly, he stumbles upon a few trash cans lying on the ground and all the waste poured on the ground. His stomach twists up and he feels like gagging as soon the unpleasant odour hits his nose. As he reaches for the mask in his pocket, he feels the presence of a sharp object on his neck. He freezes in his spot; not daring to move; shock and panic running through his veins.
"Hand over everything you have or else I'll slit your throat."
A deep make voice whispers. Jake quickly grabs the wallet in his pocket and as he's about to bring it out, a deep male voice which was pretty masculine, whispers from the dark.
"Do you have a death wish?"
He says; coming out of the dark. His eyes were glowing in a light neon blue color. Shimmering snowflakes were emitting from his hands. It took only a few moments for both the victim and robber to understand that the guy standing in front of them was a demigod. The robber; unable to fathom what to do, attacks Jake and makes a large but not deep cut on his throat.
"ARGH!!!"
The young man groans in pain before grabbing his neck and almost stumbling down. The robber quickly turns around and starts running away but not for long. The demigod reacts faster the robber and puts a strong ice barrier that prevents the robber from fleeing. He then, without wasting a moment, traps the robber with a barricade of huge ice crystals that were sharp enough to stab through a human and cause a fatal injury. The demigod then runs to Jake and puts his hand around the boy's shoulders; stopping him from having a hard time standing.
"Jake Sim!"
He lets out a shout at a low tone; almost whispering as he raises his eyebrows while a worried look forms on his face.
"Are you ok?!?!"
He yells in a worried tone and immediately regrets it as he realizes that this wasn't the best question to be asking at this very moment. As a response, Jake just nods as sweat drips down his forehead. Panic rushes through Sunghoon's veins. He couldn't figure out whether the injury was fatal or not. The neck was the fourth most vulnerable part of human body. One wrong move and it could be one's cause of death... As he's trying to figure out how he can help now, the loud alarm of an ambulance and police car hit his ears all of a sudden; making it obvious that help had arrived...
