Chapter 47: What Do You Think?

I got out of the shower with him banging on the door "Do not suck up all the hot water!"

I rolled my eyes "What are you 12?!"

He yelled back "YEAH!"

I giggled at myself. I put on the robe from the hotel and tied my hair up in the towel. I walked out "Did the clothes arrive."

He avoided eye contact "Yeah. In the closet." He walked past me shutting the door to the bathroom. Shortly after I heard the water start. I noticed his outfit and mask sitting on the bed. I walked over looking at it. His suit was midnight blue with a baby blue undershirt. His mask was navy with gold accents. I smiled walking back to the closet to pull out my outfit that was zipped in the bag. I looked at my mask it was gold with navy accents? Must be the theme of the party.

I closed the closet door as Levi was walking out of the bathroom. He was running his hand through his hair as he walked by me. I turned to him and froze. His back was to me as he looked at his phone on the nightstand. His arms were a lot bigger than I thought. I don't know why I expected him to be this string bean. He was defined as more than average. His towel was tied lower and quickly turned around. I was frozen. I heard him set his phone down and start walking to me.

"I have to get in the closet. I need unde..."

I cut him "Right. Ok. I am going to be in the bathroom. Ok. Ok."

He sounded concerned "You ok?"

I shut the bathroom door "You could have worn a ROBE!"

He laughed "You took the only one..."

I looked around the bathroom slamming my hand to my forehead. He's right. Wonderful. I pushed the weird interaction out of my head. I put on light makeup and blew my hair dry. I felt it in my naturally curly hair. I just ran some smoother through it to define the curls. I walked over unzipping the bag to reveal a navy floor-length dress...Same color as his suit. I put it on and the slit went up obnoxiously high on both sides. I rolled my eyes in the mirror. I opened the door going to the closet to get my heels. The heels were gold with YSL gold heels. Whoever picked out this outfit put money and time into it. I walked out playing with the mask in my hand.

"Wow... I mean finally. Let's go already." I rolled my eyes walking to the door. He jumped ahead opening it for me "After you, my lady." I giggled shaking my head. What a nerd. We walked to the elevator as another couple was walking on. They smiled at us as we all boarded. They were glued to each other kissing and groping right in front of us. I rolled my lips inward and reached for Levis's hand. I don't know why I did. But I did. It was as if I was pressured by the overly affectionate couple to keep a cover we didn't need? Levi looked down at me and I looked up smiling awkwardly. I was such an idiot. He started drawing circles in my hand with his thumb. He's going to kill me later. He's just keeping up the charade. He cleared his throat "Let me help you with your mask." I forgot I didn't even put it on yet. I held it up as his fingers brushed my hair tieing it. I turned back to him "Gorgeous..."

The door opened and the guy who invited us walked in. "Very, Hi my name is Trevor and you are?"

Levi put his hand out gripping the guy's hand "Levi. Nice to meet you."

The guy looked Levi up and down. Levi did not like that. They finally released hands and Trevor fanned his fingers out like Levi cramped them up. I looked up at Levi wondering what the hell that was. Levi put his arm around me pulling me to his side. I know he's just being protective. The door opened and Trevor smiled gesturing for me to go ahead. I went to walk and Levi held me back. He spoke, "After you, Trevor."

He smiled and walked out. I pulled Levi out with me fast down the side hall. I pushed him into the wall "Can you tell me what is going on?"

He sighed "Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Let's go to the party." Damn, why am I overreacting he's right. He was probably just making sure that man was going to try and kill us. Wow, I am such an idiot. He is just protecting me. Why am I trying to read into this like it's something else when it's not. I went up to the bar where Levi ran off too.
