Run, run, run...

The night was cold, the streets quiet as Aya ran down the alleyways far past the Sakanoshita shop, most of every other store closed for the late hour it was. This vastly narrowed down her options of escape causing anxiety to spike high in her mind though currently all she could hear was the distant bark of dogs and honks of late night horns as her feet continued to barrel down the concrete roads. As she continued to run, she came across a work construction sight, closed and chained off for the night. Hopping the fence, she ran inside to duck behind a crate and listen for Jo and his men, trying to calm down her breathing and racing heart.

A good while went by with no sign or sound of Jo and his men though before she could make a sigh of relief, she heard someone yell out in the distance as it seemed to draw near. "DAMNIT! I am sick and tired of her doing this shit. We should just wait for her once she gets out of school, then she'll have no choice but to do as we say." Jo said as they started to walk into the same construction sight, pushing their way over the chained off fence. "Search this area, if we don't find her then fuck it we'll return home." He said, Aya sucking in a breath.

She kept to the crate she hid behind, listening and waiting as Jo and his men split off to search the area. If she just waited here she knew she'll be caught eventually, What she really needed to do was get out of here, somehow sneak out without them seeing her. Moving quietly around the crate, she peered around the area, seeing one of them in the distance looking around some of the other crates in the central room of the building she was in. She waited with baited breath until he disappeared around a dark corner before she started to quietly make her way out of the building. Once she made it outside, she eyed her surroundings before making her way to the fence to start climbing back over it, making enough noise to draw attention. "HEY!! BOSS! I found her!" One of Jo's men called out as he aimed his gun and shot her in the shoulder just as she was about to get over the top. She hissed in pain as the gunshot echoed throughout the area.

"You stupid fool! Why'd you shoot her! Are you trying to get the cops called on us?!" Jo yelled as he smacked him in the head. Aya fell over and landed on the concrete sidewalk gripping her shoulder. Fuck! She scrambled to her feet, ignoring the pain as she took off in a sprint out of the area, back into the alleyways of the buildings on the other side.

She collapsed against a wall as the pain started to throbb, blood leaking from the wound and covering the hand that gripped her shoulder. She needed somewhere to go, anywhere... Won't anyone help her? Forcing herself to keep going, she focused on her movements as she continued her pace through the alleys until she made it back to the store she was at earlier only to find it locked up for the night. No! She knocked on the door. Please! Help! With no answer, she walked around the corner to the window she jumped out of only to find it locked up tight, the screen still off of it and on the ground. Damnit!! She didn't have much time. What now? If she doesn't figure out something soon, Jo will capture her and take her back to that place. She can't go back there She can't!!

As she looked around, her vision getting a bit blurry, she saw a balcony but how to get to it was the question. She looked below it to find a dumpster against a wall with wheels underneath. If she just move it back a bit more it would be enough to help her crawl over. The balcony wasn't too high. Maybe just one story off the ground but with the dumpster as help it would be enough to give her the height she needed to climb over. She walked over to the dumpster and started to try to push it over only to hiss in pain. Please! Damn arm! Biting her lip until it drew blood, she did her best to ignore the pain as she moved the dumpster just enough to get it under the balcony. She climbed on before she started to climb over the balcony to land on the ground in pain, her breathing a bit ragged as she forced herself to move and sit against the wall of the building, listening to see if Jo and his thugs came into the area.
