In the two minutes that I've spent with Gunnar I've learned two things: his laugh is really nice and he thinks my voice is funny, hence the knowledge of his laugh.

"Why is it so funny?" I asked him as he giggled about me.

Gunnar smiled down at me, "The accent, you just sound so much different than the girls back home," I rolled my eyes and bumped him with my shoulder, "It's nice though."

"Nice?"

"You're voice is very sweet...I don't really know how else to describe it, it's just different." Gunnar tried to explain to me as I laughed.

"You know, people usually tell me that my voice is deeper than other girls'."

Gunnar led me around a corner as we kept walking, "Maybe, but it isn't like the voices here," Gunnar starts to mimic a valley girl accent, "Like, oh my god, I can't believe it."

I laugh at him, "Is that what people here sound like?" Before Gunnar could answer, a group of girls walked by speaking with Valley accents. Gunnar looks at me and raises his eyebrows and we both start laughing, "Ok, I see what you mean. Where are you taking me, Stahl?"

Gunnar looks around, "I don't know. I just wanted to see where we would end up."

We ended up at a small gas station which we goofed off in before the cashier yelled at us, "Buy something or get out!"

We looked at each other and started laughing as we moved towards the slushees, "Blue or red?" Gunnar asked me as he grabbed two cups.

"Which one are you getting?"

"Red."

"Then I'll take blue."

We filled our cups and then started to make our way up to the cashier when I noticed squirt guns, I quickly grabbed Gunnar's arm and pointed towards them, "What do you think?" I asked.

Gunnar smiled at me, "I think we're going to need water."

Gunnar grabbed the guns and we quickly grabbed three water bottles before heading to the cashier to check out. The man gave us a look, I couldn't tell if it was a rude one or not but I looked down at my feet to try and avoid the eye contact.

He handed us our bag and slushees, "Have a nice night, you two."

"You too, sir." Gunnar said, turning around to salute him.

We ended up walking to a small park, there was a cute little playground on it that we climbed up onto, "I haven't been on one of these in a couple of years." I fiddled with one of the forgotten toys.

Gunnar took a sip from his slushee, "Really? I take my little sister to one all the time. She really likes them, one time she woke me up really early just to beg me to walk there with her."

"You have a sister?"

"Alda. She's five."

I shook my head slightly before looking over at Gunnar, "Wait, how old are you again?"

He laughs, "I'm fifteen. She was an accident."

"That makes sense."

Gunnar and I sat in silence as we drank our drinks. I reached for his, "Lemme try," He offered his drink to me and I scrunched up my nose, "Yeah, no. I like mine more."

Gunnar took back his drink and took mine too, trying it, "Yours is okay. I like mine more."

"Well, we are completely different people." I said as I took my drink back from his hands. I set it down after taking another sip.
